The aim of the event is to introduce the general public to the ideas of the "donut economy" through creativity, mutual excha
nge, and informal community gatherings. Learning about the Donut economy will allow the participants to practice more thoughtful everyday activities that take into consideration sustainability and reduce their impact on climate. The activity is initiated and lead by Climate Pact Ambassador Nora Gāgane in collaboration with Generation Donut community.
The central feature of the event will be the "Intellect or Stuff?" exchange activity, where participants are invited to swap not only physical items but also knowledge, experience, ideas, and skills. Attendees will indicate their primary area of expertise on name tags to foster spontaneous conversations and mutual learning.
Concurrent activities will focus on co-creation and discovery—including plans to showcase the "Riga Doughnut" concept, creative workshops, and an interactive "Doughnut on Paper" session where participants visualize various life cycles, revealing the significance of interconnectedness, circularity, and co-creation.
During the event, attendees can also contribute to the "1001 Doers for a Hopeful Future" community initiative by nominating individuals who inspire positive change.
