Key speakers:  

Beatriz Noriega Ortega is a Project Officer with the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) – a Partner of the Climate Pact. She has led several citizen science initiatives including SOCIO-BEE on addressing air pollution in cities, and COMPAIR on improving air quality.   

Martin Brocklehurst is a Pact Ambassador and Chair of the Citizen Science Global Partnership Board. He’s also a founding member of ECSA and the Citizen Science Global Partnership (CSGP).  He is a citizen science advisor to the UN Science Policy Business Forum and a member of AURORA – a Pact Partner and EU research project focused on tackling climate change.  

Ioana Petrescu is a Pact Ambassador,  President of the Simply Green Association (Pur si Simplu Verde), and formerly Romania’s first female finance minister. She also leads the Centre for Leadership and Innovation at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) in Bucharest. Ioana is focused on empowering young people and policymakers to act on climate change − including through Earth Observation (EO) initiatives.
