Elimination of Single-Use Plastic Packaging on Polish Higher Education Campuses

The initiative is a joint programme engaging multiple Polish universities in the systematic elimination of single-use packaging containing plastics from vending machines, campus catering, and academic events.

The activity promotes the adoption of sustainable alternatives, integration into university ESG policies, monitoring of environmental impact reductions, and structured communication to students, faculty, and stakeholders.

It aims to showcase practical leadership in sustainability, align with climate action priorities of the European Climate Pact, and serve as a scalable model for other educational institutions.
