This hybrid participatory workshop (online and on-site) brings together researchers, farmers, Living Lab coordinators, network representatives, civil society organisations, and local stakeholders to explore how Living Labs contribute to reducing the climate impact of agri-food systems while integrating circular economy principles.
Participants will collaboratively map existing regional Living Labs, assess their strengths and challenges, and identify gaps related to climate adaptation, resource efficiency, circular resource flows, and community engagement in sustainable agri-food systems. Special attention will be given to practices that enhance soil health, reduce waste, promote nutrient cycling, and improve the efficient use of water and energy. Through facilitated discussions and interactive group work, the event will foster active citizen and stakeholder participation in shaping climate and circular solutions for agriculture. It will also identify concrete needs that can be addressed through knowledge exchange, capacity building, and cross-sectoral collaboration.
The workshop contributes to climate action and circular transition by strengthening local innovation ecosystems, promoting climate-resilient and resource-efficient farming practices, supporting the adoption of circular business models in agri-food systems, and empowering communities to actively engage in the green and circular transformation of food systems.
