The event includes 3 walks of 70 minutes along the course of the Lambro in the center of Monza (Lombardy, Italy), in a path that will allow you to observe with a new, attentive and caring eye the river that crosses the city and creates its landscape.
The themes of the three walks concern:
- the influence of climatic conditions on the river and its consequences;
- the current conditions of the river and the influence of the river on the quality of life of citizens and populations throughout the surrounding area;
- the quality of water in connection with biodiversity and the possible restoration of the natural state;
- historical and cultural insights into the bridges that cross the watercourse in the two city branches: the Lambro and the Lambrett rivers.
The event will allow us to reflect on the landscape around the Lambro River as it crosses the city of Monza, but also on the state of naturalness of a river that is an important protagonist in the history of the city.
The different skills expressed by the four Partners constitute an opportunity to look at the river in a more integrated way from several points of view: that of the water body, the climatic and environmental one, that of the water quality and the historical-cultural one.
