Climate Fresk of Nations

Climate Fresk of Nations, organized by Climate Fresk Deutschland e. V. and the City of Munich, unites Munich's international communities and partner cities in one of the largest multilingual climate education events supporting the city's climate-neutral 2035 ambition.

On 24 October 2026, Climate Fresk of Nations will transform the historic Ballroom of Munich's Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) into a vibrant hub of learning, dialogue, and collaboration. Participants from Munich's international communities, partner cities, and local organisations will take part in 25 simultaneous Climate Fresk workshops delivered in 20 languages, making it one of the largest and most diverse events of Munich Climate Week. 

Climate Fresk is an interactive workshop based on the scientific findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Working together with a set of carefully designed cards, participants explore the causes and consequences of climate change, uncover the connections within Earth's climate system, and discuss practical solutions and actions that can be taken at individual, community, and societal levels.

By offering workshops in participants' native languages, Climate Fresk of Nations removes barriers to climate education and creates an inclusive space where people can engage with climate science in a meaningful and accessible way. The event reflects Munich's international character and demonstrates how diverse communities can contribute to a shared vision for a sustainable future.

The event is organised by Ambassador Martina Weinberger and Climate Fresk Deutschland e. V. Climate Fresk Deutschland e. V is part of the global Climate Fresk movement and a European Climate Pact partner organisation. We are dedicated to advancing science-based climate education. Through interactive workshops, facilitator training, and educational resources, Climate Fresk helps individuals, communities, organisations, and institutions understand the causes and impacts of climate change while empowering them to take meaningful action. 

The movement's vision is a world where informed and engaged citizens work together to build a healthy, resilient, low-carbon future.
