Climate Education Beyond the Frameworks

The 3rd edition of “Climate Education Beyond the Frameworks” is a workshop-based conference for teachers, climate educators and other professionals involved in formal and non-formal climate education, primarily from Kraków and the Małopolska region.

This year’s edition focuses on building agency in climate education and exploring how education can move beyond knowledge towards confidence, participation and action. Around 260 participants will take part in a diverse programme combining lectures, interactive workshops, debates, discussions and other activities focused on climate education, critical thinking, practical tools and empowering learners to take action.

The programme will offer participants opportunities to explore current topics and challenges in climate education, develop practical skills, discover educational tools and resources, and exchange experiences with other educators.

Participants will also be able to visit thematic booths and take part in additional activities designed to provide inspiration, encourage discussion and facilitate the exchange of ideas. A main-stage Climate Pitch, together with contributions from climate experts and educators, will provide further opportunities to explore different perspectives and approaches to climate education.

The European Climate Pact will be represented throughout the event, with Climate Pact Ambassadors and the Country Coordinator contributing to the programme and engaging with participants. A dedicated Pact stand will provide an opportunity for teachers and educators to learn more about the Pact, explore its educational resources and discover practical tools and initiatives that can support climate education and engagement in their own work.

The conference is designed as a space for inspiration, networking and the exchange of tested educational practices, with a strong emphasis on practical approaches that can help educators turn climate knowledge into meaningful engagement and action.
