Climate Action Days: Growing Climate Action - Community Tree Planting Day

Our Climate Action Day will focus on tree planting and long-term tree care as practical, community-led climate solutions. Volunteers and European Climate Pact members will come together to plant native trees and learn about proper maintenance to ensure their healthy growth. The event will combine hands-on action with short educational moments on climate mitigation, biodiversity restoration and the role of urban and rural green spaces in carbon sequestration and climate adaptation.

Participants will:

• Plant native tree species suitable for local ecosystems
• Learn about tree care, watering and monitoring
• Discuss the importance of nature-based solutions in addressing climate change
• Strengthen collaboration among local climate actors
