This Climate Hope Evening offers a constructive alternative to often-gloomy climate news by highlighting successes and positive developments in climate action. The event will explore whether the climate crisis is solvable through three key lenses: the informational, the emotional, and the action-based.
The program features interactive presentations from the following experts:
- Oras Tynkkynen, Member of Parliament and Chair of the Green Parliamentary Group
- Sonja Palmo, Psychologist and Doctoral Researcher in climate psychology
- Ville Laitinen, Climate and Baltic Sea Coordinator for the Finnish Nature Association (Luontoliitto).
The evening's hopeful atmosphere will be set by a live performance from award-winning artist Lyyti, who will sing her nature-themed songs.
Held at Töölö Library in Helsinki, the event is free, politically neutral, and open to the public, with both in-person attendance and a live-stream option available. Food and coffee will be served on-site. The event language is Finnish.
The event is funded by the Ali & Tujan Nylund Foundation.
