The theme of climate change effects on urban systems fascinated me a lot, starting from the researches I did during my Ph.D. Attention was drawn to the possibility of studying the two-way relationship between life in cities and the effects on climate. The idea of ​​being able to contribute to spreading knowledge and good practices towards a more sustainable and resilient lifestyle is very intriguing. I am interested in developing the cognitive aspects aimed at promoting participatory policies.

We live on a planet in which the weather has been changing throughout history, becoming a topic of matter among humankind.

As an ambassador I will try to make a global change by sharing and educating about climate positive information and bringing others to save our dear planet.

Vice-President for Europe and International of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, President of COTER at the European Committee of the Regions, I want to get involved in sustainable development and in the fight against climate change. Through its Neo Terra roadmap, my Region shares the same ambitions as the European Green Pact and wants to become an exemplary territory. Néo Terra, eleven commitments in many sectors (companies, transport, agroecology, biodiversity, energy ...).

As a Climate Pact Ambassador my mission is to build awareness through engaging educational experiences that will bring empowerment and motivation to the individual. Every opportunity to share knowledge with the public will be through community based & experiential events. These events based in dance, art, & schools, will be unique opportunities to engage intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, or physically in relation to our local environmental concerns on the island of Mallorca. 

It has been thirty years since I was first elected as a public representative. I am conscious that together on this planet we do not have another thirty years in which to get things right. More selfishly I want a planet that my grandchildren can live on sustainably.

For me being a climate activist is a way of live. My actions typically focus on decision-makers, teachers, youth, media but at the same time I hope my every day choices inspire others to also take steps towards living within the planetary boundaries.

My name is Matteo Brizzi, I am a 24-year-old Italian citizen with an academic interest for European affairs and sustainability.

I really would like and I think to be suitable to become a Climate Pact Ambassador for my following roles in the local, national and European context:

• City councillor in Massa e Cozzile (PT, Italy) working for sustainable projects
• Founder of Young European Society, a youth association committed to green actions
• National representative of Our Sustainable Europe

As the Coordinator of the secretariat of the EESC's Sustainable Development Observatory, I have been working with stakeholders on promoting an enabling environment for bottom-up climate action, raising awareness among civil society organisations and creating opportunities for them to engage in policy processes, including the EU Climate Pact and Global Climate Action Agenda.

I am an advocate for sustainability action in my workplace and will pursue these efforts as an Ambassador. 

As an Ambassador, I will:

- inform with scientific evidence about the climate situation on my social media
- give talks in public places such as schools and other centers
- organize events such as plastic collections and tree plantations
- make recipes with sustainable food and without waste
- inform how to preserve the biodiversity of land and ocean

As an International Relations Analyst on climate change & SDGs, I believe that climate policy studies cannot be ignored by the foreign policy community.

Since for some academics climate change has evolved into a high politic issue and global agenda. Climate change impacts are seen in every region all around the world because climate change has no borders.

I´m interested in climate action and how the SDGs as a whole show us the path we must follow.

My ongoing phd dissertation concentrates on climate change vulnerability of 81 provinces in Turkey. Therefore, climate-related research comprise the main focus of my studies. Moreover, I have been working as a lecturer, and have been teaching the courses of climate change and urban planning, sustainable urban transportation, and landscape planning. My main motivation is to get my students to combat climate crisis in their professional life as an urban planner.

As an ambassador, I will share all my knowledge on the Climate Pact aims, including those attained as IPCC AR5 LA and IPCC AR6 CLA. My research is very close to the topic, which I will also share not only to my peers but also to the society through events and workshops.

I intent to be a dynamic and proactive Ambassador through environmental education outreach, being active in several associative movements and as scientific researcher at CIIMAR(Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research), where I develop nature-based solutions towards sustainability of territories and as tools for climate change adaptation and mitigation. My activities will foster call to action, awareness and collaborative work to support the European Climate Pact.

My studies and my current work deal with Earth Sciences. I'm passionate about polar regions. I enjoy talking with people, discussing with children and teenagers about what I know and what they want to ask. Ideas can be spread only through people who show themselves motivated and committed. This is what I'm trying to pursue.

After having developed a group in the field of health, I then founded 2 startups in the valorization of biomass into energy (cogeneration) and a startup in green chemistry. These experiences allowed me to become an expert in EU grants (H2020 and the Green Deal). I then decided with a group of experts in environment and green smart cities to commit myself to defend the climate cause through science, innovation, education, startups and green buildings.

Dr. Burak Can is an assistant professor in Data Analytics and Digitalisation at Maastricht University and co-founder of sustainably.io. He is the coordinator of the 2OC community (www.2OC.eu), a network built inclusively together with 57 partners comprising 23 Research & Technology Organizations, 16 SMEs & Industry, 5 Public Entities, 14 networks and ecosystems, representing a true European collaboration across member and associated states for impact by knowledge dissemination.

Plus I am MA graduate and have knowledge about research methodologies on the issue, useful to raise awareness.

Since I am an individual, it would be important to reach out to a network of people interested in the issue, work on episodes based on reliable data and records.
