The 10 million Trees Foundation is Hungary’s first national tree-planting organisation. Its goal is to plant 10 million trees for every Hungarian citizen. It plants both trees and ideas, with activities focused on preventing climate change and supporting climate adaptation.
The Foundation is an action-oriented organisation, offering opportunities for direct and effective public participation. It also places strong emphasis on education and shaping attitudes towards environmental responsibility. Today, around 40% of its national recognition is for measurement-based impact.
Its operations are organised partly online, with more than 60,000 active followers, and also offline, through over 50 local groups. Its work is coordination by a management team, experts, communications staff and community coordinators.
