European Climate Pact

European building emission factor database

The database provides guidance to mobilize the financial industry to accelerate the transition of European buildings to net zero.

Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials’ latest project aims to mobilize the financial industry and make them accountable to finance and accelerate the transition of European buildings towards net zero by 2050.

The database provides clear guidance to financial institutions and other stakeholders to stay on the required course and to report on the positive impact of their actions in a transparent, robust and standardized way. A diverse set of emission factors for mortgages and commercial real estate are accessible for all countries in the European Union, as well as Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

This database is available for everyone (after registration) and contains comparable data of the European Buildings. This tool can be used as a basis for talking about the necessary climate action and act accordingly.

The database is available here.
