Description

Decarbonisation is gaining attention from the business community as the amount of climate strategy projects carried out across Europe is growing. There are increasing reports of companies using false claims of CO2 neutrality.

In order to communicate climate targets and achievements clearly and credibly, thorough understanding of climate change-related language is crucial. Carbon neutral, climate neutral, GHG neutral or net-zero – these are a few of the most commonly used and unfortunately also misused terms. Although at the first glance they look very similar, in reality, they describe different states of the corporate carbon footprint reduction pathways.

Have a look at this factsheet which provides an overview of these terms and learn the difference.
