GHG Emissions

Our actions – the Pathway

  • Have an absolute/intensity emissions reduction target (scope 1+2) with a 5-15 years’ time frame and a 2.1% year-on-year reduction at a minimum

In order to achieve our carbon neutrality by 2025 and carbon negativity by 2030 goals, we will continue with measures based on reducing the carbon footprint, which in the majority (92 percent) is caused by transport. In order to achieve goal, we will strengthen work from home and promote the concept of "car-pooling" and combining journeys for the arrival of employees to the workplace. We will continue with the sustainable mobility project, which enables all employees to perform of shorter business trips with micro e-vehicles. We have also made a commitment that we will fully electrify our vehicle fleet by 2023. From 2023 onwards, we will carried out business trips in the most carbon-neutral way possible, namely by using of e-vehicles, trains and participation in international conferences in a digital way. Where this is not possible, we will neutralize the created carbon footprint with support and implementing green projects.

Energy

Our actions – the Pathway

  • Have a target to increase renewable energy consumption

We will build 1,000 MW of solar power plants of all sizes and 100 MW of community solar power plants for the GEN-I Solar Community. We will continue to only provide carbon-free electricity. We will continue to only use carbon-free electricity for our business process. We will develop business models in connection with electricity storage and production electricity from a solar power plant, which are connected to high-tech IT solutions.

Mobility

Our actions – the Pathway

  • Have a target to switch fleets to Electric Vehicles by 2030

Within the projects in the field comprehensive energy supply, we will develop services that enable charging of electrified vehicles without upgrading the existing infrastructure. We have already electrified over 70% of our vehicle fleet. The company is also involved in a sustainability mobility project. We set up e-bike sheds in all our branch offices in Slovenia. Since there are solar power plants built into their roofs, we can charge our micro e-vehicles using electricity from solar power plants.
