Are you aged between 15 and 30 and want to make a difference for the planet? Then we want to hear from you!
The Youth Climate Pact Challenge, launched as part of the European Climate Pact, brings young people together to co-create and develop new climate projects and solutions. The challenge will be kicked off at the youth engagement workshop held as part of the Climate Pact Day of Action on 29 June.
The workshop is your chance to make your voice heard on climate issues, turn your ideas into reality and connect with the growing Climate Pact community. No experience is necessary – from beginner to seasoned sustainability advocate, everyone is welcome.
Sharing ideas, sharing expertise
What kind of information do young people need in order to take action for the planet and what inspires them to act? How can young people bring about change in their communities and take their projects to the next level? How can they take part in big decisions that affect their future? How can we involve young people who are harder to reach or have fewer opportunities to participate?
These are just some of the questions you can tackle through the Youth Climate Pact Challenge. During the workshop, participants will connect with others in thematic groups to start developing ideas for activities and projects on topics such as supporting young Climate Pact Ambassadors, stepping up individual climate action, involving young people in policymaking and enhancing education on climate action.
The workshop aims to bring together participants from different countries and backgrounds to tap into the diversity of young people’s lives, views and experiences in different parts of Europe and beyond.
After the workshop, participants will have the chance to continue working together through a dedicated online platform and turn their ideas into concrete projects. The best projects will be presented after the summer to Frans Timmermans, the European Commission’s Executive Vice-President responsible for the European Green Deal.

There are also lots of other ways to get involved in the Climate Pact, including making a pledge to reduce your impact on the environment – either as an individual or as an organisation or group. You can also inspire others with your story of climate action by becoming a Climate Pact Ambassador.
