Description

In the framework of the launch of the European Climate Pact and in the series of youth engagement events organised by the European Commission, the “Youth shaping the Climate Pact: Youth success stories in climate & energy” event stems from the collaboration between the SDG7 Youth Constituency and the European Youth Energy Network (EYEN), which constitute two engagement mechanisms for young people on energy topics at the global and European level, respectively.
The event will showcase the fundamental role of youth organisations in engaging citizens and will give the stage to participants to share concrete actions and successful youth initiatives. The event will include an informative session on the Climate Pact provided by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Climate Action and a panel discussion with representatives from relevant European and global youth organisations.
During the event, participants will gather in different breakout rooms to discuss their role in the Climate Pact and present their ideas with Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director-General for Energy at the European Commission, who will share her views on youth engagement in the energy sector.
