Description
Final Conference LIFE Adaptate project.
Partners: 6 municipalities from Spain (Águilas, Cartagena, Lorca), Latvia (Smiltene), Portugal (Alfândega da Fé, Mértola). Leaded by the Region of Murcia Development Agency and regional coordinator of the CoM, Instituto de Fomento.
Objectives: to develop Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans (SECAPs) in 6 municipalities and demonstrative pilot actions, to test and demonstrate cooperation schemes; resources and guidelines to enable transfer of contents and replication of project activities at EU level.
Results / impacts:
- Adhesion of 6 municipalities from Latvia, Portugal and Spain to the CoM
- Implementation of 3 demonstrative tools for municipalities
- Development of risk & vulnerability assessments in target territories
- Guide to assist municipalities in public participation protocols
- Guide for elaboration of climate change adaptation plans SECAPs
- Development of pilot actions related to climate change adaptation
- Influencing policy: Guide to include the the climate change adaptation and mitigation approach in local policies; Draft regulation on the integration of climate change in urban planning.
