The EU aims to be carbon neutral in 2050. The immediate consequence of this ambition will lead to change and transformation in all sector of its economy. As an economic partner of the EU, these changes will ultimately affect its relations with Turkey. In her presentation, Sevil Acar, professor at Bogazici University, will discuss how the European Green Deal affect Turkey's economy. It will be chaired by Zerrin Savasan, professor at Selcuk University. Sevil Acar is specialized in climate change and the economy. She is the author and the editor of three books (The Curse of Natural Resources: A Developmental Analysis In A Comparative Context; Macroeconomics of Climate Change in a Dualistic Economy; Handbook of Green Economics).
