Description

Studies show that more than 80 percent of young people worry about the effects that climate change will have on their future. To navigate this complex issue, young people need more support from the adults around them.
In this webinar, we will delve deeper into the role that schools can play in helping young people turn anxiety, and other climate-related emotions, into action. Using the pilot project Climate Smart School as a starting point, we will present results and discuss learnings related to teachers helping young people cope with the escalating climate crisis.
We will gather experts, practitioners and psychologists to discuss how schools can step up their climate transition game, what they need to do so, and why science-based climate education is simply not enough.
The event is co-hosted by the EU Climate Pact team at Ramboll, Våra barns klimat (Our Kids’ Climate) and Klimatpsykologerna (The Climate psychologists). It is free of charge and will take place on 15 November, 4–5pm (Swedish/CET time) through Microsoft Teams.
