As a winner of the European Green Lеaf award and ambassador of the Covenant of Mayors, Gabrovo demonstrates the EU and national policies benefits in the fields of energy climate network to attract private investment and improve the lives of citizens at the local level. We are constantly looking for ways of best European practices and modern energy technologies to be applied in projects with high added value for the local community. In line with EU trends, citizens are actively involved in the political process and in the implementation of projects.
Between June 24 – 25, 2021 Gabrovo will host an online conference on Climate and Energy: Policies, Financial mechanisms and International initiatives in support of Local authorities and Citizens. The main topics include:
- Climate and energy: national strategic documents and local plans. Covenant of Mayors and European Energy Award;
- Energy management and certification systems;
- Investment concepts and building renovation programs;
- Energy neutral urban areas, industrial parks and energy cooperatives;
- Sustainable mobility and waste management.
