Looking at some main enablers of the transformation of road transport, such as data governance, infrastructures, communication technologies, cybersecurity, and legislation, scientists Jette Krause and Biagio Ciuffo will be discussing potential impacts of road transport on the economy, employment and skills, energy use and emissions, the sustainability of raw materials, democracy, privacy and social fairness, as well as on the urban context. Last but not least, they will also provide an insight into the pilot living labs project of the European Joint Research Center. Jette Krause and Biaggio Ciuffo are with the Energy, Transport, and Climate Unit of the European Joint Research Center (JRC).
