Description

The week of events brings together policymakers and representatives of the thousands of community-led initiatives on climate change and sustainability in Europe around the fifth annual European Day of Sustainable Communities, which takes place on the 18th September 2021.
The week will kick off with a European webinar on 20th September hosted by ECOLISE.
Then a series of Regional policy events will be hosted in different countries by ECOLISE members and partners. They will bring together their policy makers (including MEPs) with representatives of the community-led movement in their country to showcase practices, knowledge and learning from the ground and grassroots level. We will have events in France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.
The week will conclude on 28th September with a main event to present the outcomes of the Regional policy events. This event is being organised by ECOLISE in partnership with the European Economic & Social Committee and Rurener.
