Description

Climate Classic cycling rallies already regularly take place in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The goal is to roll out to 25 EU countries by year 2025.
Each rally takes place in the area that is expected to be particularly negatively impacted by climate change. This is why the first Polish edition of the rally will start in Gdansk and will go through Zulawy Wislane, an area located below the sea level and hence particularly vulnerable to raising sea levels.
The aim of these rallies is to raise awareness of climate change and to incentivise all participants and the public to reduce their carbon footprint. To this end, each participant needs to calculate their carbon footprint and make a pledge to reduce it. The organisers also aim, as far as possible, to offset CO2 emissions generated directly from the organisation of the rally.
Climate Classic Poland will take place on Sunday, 28 May 2023. We will start from Gdansk and each participant will have a choice between two routes, 100km and 250km. There will be technical and medical support, feeding stations and refreshments at the finishing line.
