Description

Join us on 28th September to learn more about how cities are leading on climate action but still face significant structural barriers. Join us to discuss the way forward and identify and overcome the root causes that hinder climate action at scale, including the harmonization of climate-related data across cities. We will identify harmonized key performance indicators currently being used within sustainable cities.
We will also have distinguished speakers to discuss the following (1)GHG Mitigation and Cities; the potential for Positive Energy Districts replication in Africa, (2) The Green City Pilot Project – Kigali Rwanda. Is this a model for sustainable urban development linking affordable housing with climate change adaptation and mitigation measures. (3) Good Practice in Brussels for reducing GHG emissions using AI on public buses, and (4) How we can collaborate – methods and approaches to collaboration.
The UN General Assembly (UNGA) has elected, by acclamation, Csaba Kőrösi, Director of Environmental Sustainability at the Office of the President of Hungary, to serve as President of its 77th session.
