Climate Pact Going Local Talks: Urban Greening, Water Resilience, Renovation of Buildings - The case of Rakvere

Under the leadership of Mr. Andres Jaadla, Rakvere, Estonia, will host an event on the city’s adaptation to climate change, preparedness, and resilience options, on May 20th.

This event is organised within the European Climate Pact Going Local Talks series and will be sponsored by the European Committee of the Regions, the European Climate Pact, and the City of Rakvere.

Speakers will include Members of the Committee of the Regions such as Jan Trei and Juri Gotmans, Mihkel Juhkami, Rait Pihelgas, Ambassadors of the European Climate Pact, representatives from EU institutions in Estonia, and Members of the European Parliament, and experts.

The event is targeted to the local community and the stakeholders engaged in climate actions on the ground and will be carried out in Estonian language.

The event will highlight how the European Climate Pact encourages collective action towards building a more sustainable and resilient Europe. It will explore the city's housing association’s renovation success aimed at achieving climate neutrality and adapting to climate change through inspiring water resilience solutions and housing renovation.
