The National Centre for Sustainable Production and Consumption (CNPCD) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Timișoara, western Romania. It works closely with regional and local stakeholders to promote sustainable consumption and production through the adoption of eco-innovative methods, practices and business models.

CNPCD’s main objectives are to raise awareness among businesses about the need to increase resource efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of their operations, and to build capacity by providing information and practical support to help organisations identify eco-innovative solutions to improve their products and services.

In addition, CNPCD is actively involved in policy development at local and national level, supporting strategies and programmes that promote and enable sustainable production and consumption. The organisation works in partnership with academia, industry and public institutions, drawing on experience gained from a wide range of collaborative projects and a strong track record in sustainability-related fields.
