Mirjana Matešić

I am an environmental engineer with PhD in sustainable development. I work as a director of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development and I will spend my mandate as a Pact Ambassador putting even more efforts in promoting implementation of corporate sustainability management systems in as many companies as possible. This will include Net Zero Strategies along with other environmental commitments. I will continue organising events, writing articles, teaching courses at University, alway stressing importance of the climate crisis and introducing tools on how to manage the negative impacts we have on climate, as persons and as business decision makers. I will actively advocate climate positive legislation at the national level, working with Government officials to better understand and support business on their Net Zero pathway. And I will continue to ride my bike, save energy, follow circular economy model and spend responsibly so as to lead by example.
