The International Institute for Climate Action (IICA) is the first association of experts in the Republic of Croatia, and the region. It has been active in the field of climate change and policy for 13 years, with the purpose of establishing a "bridge" that connects the government and the business community in tackling climate change and facilitating Croatia’s transition towards a low-carbon, sustainable economy.

IICA supports the Republic of Croatia and Europe’s sustainable, green economic development while preserving the environment and climate. More precisely, IICA’s mission is to help the business community fight climate change by reducing carbon dioxide emissions (CO₂); incorporating the Low Carbon Strategy; the Adaptation Strategy; Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria and the European Green Plan into their business plans and processes. By holding educational IICA events and conferences and developing an internationally recognised online IICA-ESG educational curriculum, IICA cooperates across sectors and business communities to work towards the goal of helping Europe become the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.
