European Climate Pact Ambassador representing the European Committee of the Regions in Italy

I am an Italian Actor very active on social media where I work as a climate advocate. I support a vast number of NGO spreading their voice and also educate the audience through self produced media devoted to explain the climate crisis from many POV.

Mihail Caradaică, Ph. D, is a lecturer at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies, focusing on environmental policies and developing sustainable social and economic models. Since 2021 he is also the executive director of the Tomorrow’s Forest Foundation, a Romanian environmental NGO. Under his stewardship, the Foundation fulfilled its pledge of planting 1 million seedlings in Romania (achieved in April 2022). Since then, Mihail has developed the early reforestation programme into a more ambitious climate platform, targeting climate resilience in urban areas (tiny forests) or desertification and  food security (agroforestry plantations), and has successfully attracted new international partners in this endeavour.

I belong to an underrepresented community, so I know how important it is to take part in all the discussions being held, not only about the environment but about everything. As someone who is also learning about climate change, I believe that I have a pretty good idea of how to engage people who are unfamiliar with the topic. I think that we, as black people, often look at this discussion as something somewhat removed from our lives, because we are being targeted by structural racism in so many ways that immediately impact our survival, that we are not considering how the environment is also a key issue. I commit to making it visible for more and more people that look like me.

I am a mother of two kids that have taught me eating and growing your own food is extremely important. I also became more aware of all the waste we are generating by not thinking about where certain packaging will end up. I have learned to not buy things I do not need as we, as a society, are already accummulating too many things and at the same time do not have time for each others, for example friends and family. These basic needs are extremely important and I feel I need to pass on all the zero waste habits not only to my children but to more people.

The challenge humanity is facing has been established, an enormous amount of possibilities are available. Millions of people show their motivation to prioritize a healthier planet. We are ready for a Green New Deal. We are ready for the governments to finally join in. The EC is the best platform to lead this opportunity. I am willing to devote my energy as an ambassador for the best of tomorrow. For a tomorrow. I sincerely hope to be chosen as an ambassador so together, though the pACT we ACT.

Alicia Carrasco has been promoting a consumer centric energy transition since 2010 when she founded Smart EN. She has worked in the areas of new energy business models as Regulatory Affairs Director for Digital Grid at Siemens, European Government Director Affairs at Tesla and today as CEO of energy transition strategic consulting firm olivoENERGY and Executive Director and founder of entra Agregación y Flexibility. She identifies opportunities out of climate change and electrification actions.

I am an experienced project manager and PhD candidate in Transport Systems, with a focus on sustainability transitions, urban mobility, and collaborative planning. As Communications Lead for the Italian-based cooperative Area Europa, I work on international projects promoting sustainability and climate action. I aim to foster collaboration between diverse stakeholders to create innovative solutions for sustainable development and climate resilience through education and participatory processes.

I lead AVX - Associação Vale do Xisto an environmental NGO, focused on restoring 230 hectares of forest in Serra da Lousã, Portugal, using sustainable practices like syntropic agriculture and permaculture. My work includes reforestation, water management, and fire prevention, fostering resilience in local ecosystems. I’m dedicated to engaging the community through workshops and collaborating with policymakers to advocate for environmental protection.

Designer by training and circular economy specialist, with expertise in public and commercial food systems. I help companies and cities find opportunities in waste, create innovative partnerships, see new connections through their materials, and redesign value chains without an end-of-life for the products.

I lecture about systemic design and circular economy at global conferences (WEF Annual Meeting 2023, Climate Reality Training Rome 2024, TEDx Verona 2023, Milan and Singapore design weeks) and in universities, with a series of tools I have designed and improved since 2018. I am involved in the climate tech startups ecosystem in Italy/Europe.

As a Climate Ambassador, I am dedicated to catalysing climate action and fostering awareness within my community and beyond. My planned activities involve engaging with diverse audiences through social media campaigns, informative articles, and compelling presentations, all aimed at educating and inspiring individuals to take concrete steps toward climate sustainability. I will develop knowledge materials, including guidance on organising climate workshops in schools, to empower educators and youth with the tools to initiate change at the grassroots level. By attending events linked to the Climate Pact and delivering activities aligned with its objectives, I aim to lead by example, demonstrating the importance of collective efforts in mitigating climate change and building climate resilience. I aspire to inspire meaningful action, empower others to become climate advocates and contribute to a more sustainable and climate-resilient future for our community and the planet.

I am the founder of PURe-Resilience, a company dedicated to urban renaturation and biodiversity restoration. As an Ambassador, I will engage communities through educational projects, focusing on underrepresented groups with low climate awareness. I will lead Fresque du Sol workshops to raise awareness about soil health and promote these initiatives via social media, publications, and events to inspire climate action.

I am 65 years old. I travelled a lot for professional and personal reasons. I have been the general manager of the Location of my group in Russia. 

I was deeply involved in the last 30 years with projects for the reduction of the Ozone layer and Green house (CO2) realized in many countries and finance by World Bank and UN agencies (Unido, UNDP. Unops). 

Very soon I will be retired and I would like to contribute to the evolution in the green direction.

I am a communications consultant, passionate about environmental issues, sustainability, politics and public participation, campaigning for social and climate justice at local, national and international levels. Since 2021, I am also president of a civic non-profit association "Evoluir Oeiras Associação" in Oeiras, a municipality in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area of Portugal, and local Councillor in the opposition. Furthermore, I am a former journalist who dedicated 19 years to covering environmental issues, namely several Conferences of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. 

As a Pact Ambassador, I focus on building community resilience and environmental regeneration in Serra da Estrela through Ação Floresta Viva. This association organizes land clean-ups, tree planting, and seasonal harvest events, while raising awareness about climate change impacts and linking local activists with key networks. We also host workshops and community discussions to empower residents to manage land sustainably, protect their environment and create a resilient local community.

I am a mechanical engineer with experience in renewable energy and IT. During my work at a major IT corporation, I gained hands-on expertise in energy efficiency and data-center energy applications. Through my thesis research, I developed a solid understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks, and European initiatives aimed at strengthening reporting standards and combating greenwashing practices.

I am Roberto Cavallo, founding member of ERICA cooperative, a company active for almost 30 years in the field of environmental consultancy all around the world, both technical and communicative.

I founded the International Association for Environmental Communication (AICA) which since 20 years ago organises the international award called the Oscar of Environmental Communication and which manages the envi.info website.

In 2014 I promoted running by collecting waste with the Keep Clean And Run event, a discipline now known as plogging, which now involves millions of people around the world and I am the director of the World Plogging Championship.

Since 2018 on my social channels, I conduce #envinews, with which I comment on the main environmental news.

I am periodically a guest of RAI (Italian national public TV) to comment on environmental news or for in-depth information, in particular on the topic of the circular economy.

I will use all these channels as a Pact Climate Ambassador!

I am a dedicated educator with a deep passion for teaching Math and Physics. As a member of the Ministry of Education Territorial Training Team, a Mathematics and Physics Teacher at Liceo Scientifico Calini in Brescia, a member of Euclipa, a Scientix ambassador, and a volunteer at the digital editorial team of Missione Oggi Onlus, I actively promote digital innovation and implement innovative methodologies in schools. My commitment to the environment is unwavering, and I have a profound love for animals and nature. My professional experience spans a wide range of fields, including communication and multimedia, but my most significant and rewarding work is in education.

I believe in the power of education to drive change and inspire future generations. Through my work, I strive to integrate sustainability and technology into the curriculum, providing students with hands-on learning experiences that foster critical thinking and creativity. I am passionate about helping students understand the importance of environmental stewardship and the role that science and technology can play in creating a sustainable future.
