I am a graduate student in France, currently studying in an Erasmus Mundus joint master degree program on decentralised smart energy systems at the University of Lorraine. My work is to build a better future for Europe and contribute to sustainability. Therefore, I plan to implement even more projects and be a part of the process of raising awareness about climate change in Europe and its neighboring countries within my mandate as a Young European Pact Ambassador. Within this excellent program of the EU Climate Pact, I will be able to more effectively raise awareness and reach more people to share information regarding sustainability, green deals, climate-related issues, and energy security in the EU and accession countries. As I obtained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience while studying in Poland as an Erasmus+ exchange student at the Rzeszów University of Technology, I plan to initiate excellent projects within the EU Climate Pact and also help other people get involved.

Markéta Svobodová founded a volunteer group (now NGO), RespON, providing sustainability inspiration to individuals and organisations since 2015. Her Ph.D. dissertation explored organisational sustainability-related motivations, limitations, and paradoxes. Markéta authored a SAGE business case and a chapter within the Handbook of Multi-level Climate Action. She was a (guest) lecturer, e.g., at ESADE. At IKEA, she conducts supplier sustainability audits and leads global sustainability projects.

I am passionate about creating positive impact for people and the planet. As Program Director at Yunus Environment Hub but also as a mentor with initiatives like UNDP Youth4Climate and beVisioneers, I support youth social entrepreneurs driving climate and social innovation. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to amplify the voices of EU youth social entrepreneurs, showcasing their solutions and advocating for the resources and support they need to thrive.

I am a transformative sustainability scienctist and entrepreneur. As an ambassador, I will design and facilitate interactive workshops that inspire employees and leaders to act on climate protection. I collaborate with energy agencies and local companies to drive practical transformation and decarbonization, especially in the heating sector.

I am an architect and urban planner. For years, I have been actively supporting communities in their efforts to create better, more sustainable and green cities. I want to continue working on the blue-green vision of the city and help residents wherever they are helpless in the face of bureaucracy and overwhelming formalities. I would like to actively solve the problem of urban heat islands and improve the mental health of residents. I support the reconstruction of ecosystems. 

As Climate Pact Ambassador, I hope to help build spaces for mutual curiosity and understanding in the context of the changing climate.

Work-wise, I wear many hats: I am an environmental consultant at an initiative promoting cultural change via collaborating with the audiovisual sector, curator at a science-popularisation festival and occasionally I play the role of a research assistant, focusing on environmental and climate psychology.

Together with my friend, we have started a social media account where we post available green job positions and we want to support others searching for their role in the climate career space. Within the teams I am part of, we hope to foster collective engagement in -and sense of courage for - the fight for a more just and sustainable future.

As director of Klimaatzaak, I coordinate a movement of over 71,000 citizens demanding climate justice in Belgium. Our lawsuit, the world’s largest of its kind, secured a 2023 Court of Appeal ruling requiring the federal, Brussels and Flemish governments to cut emissions by at least 55% by 2030. As a climate ambassador, I want to share this collective experience of persistence and hope, showing that systemic change begins when citizens stand together.

As a strategic communication for social impact projects for over 10 years I think that awareness is one of the most important step in the transition to a sustainable society. The way in which we communicate with the general public the topics related to sustainable development can ensure its success and can mobilize the involvement of people in all the stages that will be needed towards a better world.

I am committed to raise awareness on sustainable and social issues and to help progress in the implementation of the Sustainable Goals with a focus on the ecological crisis and social justice. I personally collaborate to research projects that address these topics and I volunteer at the community level to build sustainable awareness and responsibility in particular in the community of the European school in Luxembourg.

Mirela Tanc is a globally known and recognized teacher. Her work in education has brought her numerous awards and distinctions: Knight of the Order of Merit for Education (by presidential decree); Global Teacher Prize 2021 top 50; Let's Do It Ambassador; Global Ambassador Teach SDGs; Out of Eden Learn-Harvard-Educator; Climate Action Project Country Ambassador; Climate Reality Leader. I am a dedicated science and climate change journalist with four years of experience working for the largest news portals in Lithuania. My mission is to raise awareness about sustainable living and the profound impacts of climate change, particularly in the Baltic region, where the effects may not be as immediately visible as in other parts of the world. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I am committed to advocating for these crucial issues across my social media platforms and through my work.

This year, I will continue to learn with my students about how to think about the future, in order to meet the major challenges we face in the fight against climate change. Shared knowledge will give us the tools to deal with uncertainty, eco-anxiety, the speed at which changes in society and the international order are occurring, and to come up with responses to the global crisis of climate change. To achieve these results, I commit myself as a person and as a teacher to continue studying and learning from what science, technology, experience and our society teach us in order to reverse climate change and achieve a sustainable model of life in peace with nature.

Former Research Director of the National Research Council (CNR), Head of the Secondary Section and Senior Associate Researcher at the Water Research Institute (IRSA-CNR) of Brugherio (MB), for around 40 years he has been involved in studies on the climate of glacial areas and high and low altitude alpine lakes, of circulation of pollutants in lakes and rivers and for about thirty years of acid rain. From 1989 to 2015 he participated in the construction and management of networks of meteorological monitoring stations in the Himalayas and Karakorum and for over two decades he has dedicated himself to the creation of databases of river and lake water bodies. Since December 2020 he has been Ambassador of the European Climate Pact, and was recently the founder of the EuCliPa.IT APS Association, of which he is currently the secretary. He is the author of over 190 publications, 100 of which in international journals, and conducts editorial review of scientific articles.

I am responsible for sustainable development for the rubber industry in France. I support manufacturers on climate-related topics : greenhouse gas mitigation, eco-design, water, energy, deforestation, etc. I work at both the national and European levels to help manufacturers move towards a more sustainable future. I strive to engage as many people as possible in creating a world that operates sustainably, particularly through awareness-raising, organizing events, and sharing knowledge.

As an Ambassador of EU Green Deal, I am focusing on policies adapted to small urban areas. Specifically, I will dedicate my work to assessing carbon sinks, protecting forests and their biodiversity, promoting mountain communities and developing remote areas. Also, sustainable mobility, clean energy generation and awareness raising are amongst my immediate interests.

I am Head of the Center for Sustainability in Arts and Culture at the Danish Institute for Cultural Policy Analysis. With years of experience in the green transition in Denmark and the Nordics, I serve on the steering committee for the Nordic Green Roadmap for Cultural Institutions. I have worked as an eco-manager for major cultural institutions, led the Nordic Green Accelerator, and collaborated with Julie’s Bicycle and Theatre Greenbook.

I am part of several associations that strive for climate justice, providing public commentary and legal support in climate litigation, while finishing a degree in International and European Law, researching differences between the EU and US climate industrial transition. I am Secretary-General of JEF Portugal and legal advisor to ZERO climate association, and was General Coordinator of ECTA, Youth Delegate to the World Forum of Democracy and President of the National Council of Law Students.

I’m a legal expert in environmental law, focused on exposing how fossil fuel ads and sponsorships delay climate action and undermine the Paris Agreement and EU Green Deal; much like tobacco ads once delayed health policy. In 2026, I’ll promote the Dutch fossil ad ban as a legal precedent. Through talks, workshops and op-eds on climate misinformation, I aim to build public and political support for similar bans across Europe. Together, we can reclaim the public domain for a fossil-free future.

As an Ambassador, I am deeply committed to catalysing and pollinating impactful change in the fight against fossil fueled climate change. My mission is to set an inspiring example by transitioning my historic-designated home to solar energy, doubling my fossil-fuel-free kilometers through cargo biking, advocating for community solar and improved cycling infrastructure in Luxembourg, and supporting sustainable agriculture. I aim to promote sustainable practices, policy advocacy, and community engagement to create a greener, more resilient future for all. Together, we can tackle the pressing climate challenges of our time.
