Climate Pact Ambassadors

As ECP Ambassador I will inspire young future generations spreading awareness about our impact in climate change under the idea of environment as our home. I will give talks in public institutions as schools about the importance of environment and biodiversity conservation fields. In order to motivate others I will use my social media to create impact, inform and advise about how we can take action individually. I cook sustainable recipes and support local businesses and international ONG´s.

I am Olivier Torfs, a passionate young entrepreneur and digital marketer dedicated to advancing sustainability in my community. As a Pact Ambassador, I plan to organize impactful events with the Belgian Climate Pact, engage youth through my initiative, Changemakers Unite, and develop workshops for meaningful climate action. My commitment includes mentoring young facilitators to drive concrete sustainability initiatives. Together, we can inspire positive change and empower others to take action.

Knowledge is a key issue in climate action. For years I have been carrying out outreach work in schools in Jerez de la Frontera, my city, initiating and a wide range of activities aimed at raising awareness and understanding about meteorological phenomena, meteorology and climate change.

I am a seconded teacher (biologist) at the European School Brussels III and come from the educational system of Greece.

I am highly specialized in environmental education, while my studies focus on the environment and for 7 years I was the director of the environmental education center in Philippi.

I think that as an educator but also as an environmentalist I can be useful in the effort to raise awareness about climate change.

I am a youth mentor and a consultant working with SAP Green Ledger to integrate sustainability into financial processes. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I plan to raise awareness among young people by organizing workshops and interactive sessions, empowering them to understand climate challenges and take practical action.

Measures to support climate action are often discussed on an expert level, missing the day-to-day activities of people.  I have been active in raising awareness about the proliferation of digitalization, its potential to enhance sustainability and combat climate change and promoting the sharing economy. I want to emphasize that social inclusion in digital capabilities allows equal opportunities and resources for communities to participate in diverse perspectives of sustainable practices. 

As a climate pact ambassador, I would like to create spaces for discourse in the context of the climate crisis. since we are dealing with a complex, unclear, ambiguous global problem with drastic and unfairly distributed consequences, it is important to bring people back into dialogue and joint action. I see art as one way of doing this.

Art is inherently ambiguous and requires personal involvement. It is capable of juxtaposing different perspectives and creating collaborative moments. I would like to use this potential in the field of education to train art teachers for the future who can deal with the ecological crisis in a meaningful way and go into schools as multipliers.

I see my task as an art educator in a holistic education that creates networks and relationships between human beings and with the world through the means of art. 

I enjoy nurturing a change in people's mindset through various mechanisms - contests, social art projects, music, social media. 

I am inspired to continue challenging people to live a creative life, connected to nature and each other.

I will continue educating my audience on sustainability topics and will drive change through my purpose-driven lemonade start-up. 

As Global Director of Sustainability at d&b Group, I lead projects on sustainable product development, circular economy, Taxonomy and EU Ecodesign compliance. I collaborate with universities and industry associations on Product Environmental Footprint rules and critical raw materials.

I also oversee CSRD reporting and sustainable supply chains. As Chair of the DIN Standard Organization Sustainable Events Committee and Board-member Sustainability VPLT the German Association for Entertainment Technology, I help shape global standards and frequently speak on sustainability in our global event industry.

An ambassador of environmentally conscious decision making process in both lawmaking and business. I support and participate in various initiatives that seek to influence today's decisions to stabilise the future of humanity. Strongly committed to inform society on burning climate change issues in policy and science.

I am Mayor of Xiromero, a small rural municipality.As an ambassador of the climate pact, I engage in various activities to promote sustainability and environmental awareness. As a local leader fistly I have to raise the peoples' awareness for clima challenges and sustainable growth.

I combine experiential learning, gamification, and game-based learning to drive social and environmental impact. I believe in a world of equal rights and opportunities, where active global citizens embrace diversity with empathy and are ready to build an innovative, inclusive and sustainable future today. I am an experienced facilitator, consultant, designer and speaker, committed to making a difference through playful learning, with tools and methods from my project "Climate for All" and more!

I have grown in north-west Czechia, the region of open-cast brown coal mining and burning. I have observed the local impacts, landscape changes, pollution and health problems. I have dedicated my entire professional life to research and education in environmental sciences. My mission is to present data, facts and context in understandable but not oversimplified way.

I am representing my grassroot-organisation Scientists for Future Germany, the "voice of science" within the German climate movement. We contribute to political discussions and build bridges to facilitate dialogue and insight. My own research activities in transforming Eastern European Countries showed me that common problems need common action and understanding. As Ambassdor, I add the voice of the EU to reach-out activities of my organisation - and the voice of my organisation to the EU.

Professionaly I work in a climate related science institute and I have been leading national long term climate strategy. But when it comes to talking to my friends, outside my work bubble, I see people still dont have enough knowledge about climate change, about which measures to take, what can help the climate or the environment. And also since a huge transition needs to be made in the upcoming years to reach climate neutrality, we really need to gather all the people that we can get to help advocate.

I was raised in Rijeka, Croatia, where I also obtained my MBA in Energy Sector Economics. I began my postgraduate doctoral studies in Economics and Business economics in 2019 with a PhD thesis closely linked to sustainable development. I frequently attended seminars and workshops at the University of Rijeka's Science and Technology Park (STEP-RI) during my doctorate. I am a proud member of the Society for Designing Sustainable Development (DOOR) in Zagreb, Member of the Board of Directors of French Alliance in Rijeka, and a proud member of the Network for the Promotion of Women in the Energy Transition (X-Energy) today. I am fluent in English, German, French, Italian, and Russian. My research areas are energy efficiency and sustainable tourism development. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will continue to be the best of my abilities to promote the sustainable development goals.

My overarching goal is to promote city-level action and regional and global peer-to-peer learning and engagement while building the potential for cities and regions to lobby their national governments and regional institutions on specific areas of the sustainable development and green recovery. We need to build regional coalitions that drive towards the key real economy outcomes necessary in order to hold on global temperature warming at no more than 1.5°C level.

Climate Change is one of the biggest challenges of our times. 

My mission as an Ambassador is to engage citizens and communities in action for our climate and environment. 

I have a keen interest in safeguarding clean air for all since air pollution affects dramatically climate change and remains the biggest environmental health risk in Europe. 

I will focus on four strategic pillars: #Participate #Act #Change #Think

I am a passionate advocate for the environment with a track record of making real change. Over the past three years, I have championed initiatives like ProjectECO, a contest that saw remarkable results in realising sustainable projects. At BGZeroWaste, I have facilitated numerous workshops promoting sustainability and zero-waste lifestyles. Through GreenUP, I have spearheaded initiatives, from bootcamps to accelerator programs, all aimed at nurturing green entrepreneurship among the youth.

As an Ambassador, my primary focus will be on circular economy, sustainable startups, and green education. I am committed to raising awareness, helping eco-conscious entrepreneurs, and creating a platform where innovative green ideas can flourish.
