Passionate environmental advocate with extensive experience in environmental education, sustainability and climate change.

I seek to contribute as a change agent and environmental educator with the aim of achieving a greater understanding of environmental, social and social justice benefits from my project Association retoglobal.eu.

We are facing a planet in crisis, at a critical and decisive moment in the history of humanity, we are immersed in the decisive decade with challenges that transcend geographical and temporal boundaries.

The climate emergency, the damage and devastation of ecosystems, the loss of biodiversity, global pollution in all its forms, and the continued disregard for planetary boundaries are closely interrelated and are putting the planet at risk. are putting our future and the future of billions of living beings at risk, we cannot allow inaction to define our legacy. We need bold, urgent and large-scale systemic change to aspire to a sustainable future.

Having worked for the EU until now, I would like to bring positive change on climate and environment in my country, Spain, and my region, Valencia. I intend to connect international and EU policy on climate and environment with action at local level; and engage with local authorities in the implementation of the EU recovery plan. I will engage in social media, teach and write articles on the European Green Deal; and organise activities on Mediterranean, forests, biodiversity & green buildings

I am the CEO of Aclima, the Basque Environmental Cluster. Aclima's mission is to lead the ecological transition of the economic model and to drive the implementation of the SDGs and the European Green Deal policies: inspiring environmental innovation with a global purpose, fostering cooperation, empowering our ecosystem agents and advancing the ecological transition.

I have devoted my life to the preservation of Mother Earth. That´s why I am the founder and President of Sustenta Foundation, which traces back to 2008. We have run 30 project of social awareness of climate emergency reaching out 20.000 people on-site. My flagship project is the “Great Alliance for the Planet” (GAP) an international bottom-up social movement to fill the GAP between awareness and climate action https://www.sustenta.org/manifiesto-gap/

I was born close to the Atlantic Ocean near Doñana National Park. I could understand the importance of biodiversity. As industrial engineer I did work in international energy projects, As local councilor I did understand the capacity of public institution to change reality sharing it with social activity. In my actual employment as asesor in the Ecological Transition Minister I have understood how laws can stop Climate change I want to talk with society about their activist powers.

My commitment to the environment and sustainable development is preceded by my 20 years of public service. Climate change is a challenge that requires a global response acting from the local level under the principle of sub-division of the EU. Being an ambassador is an honor that allows us to create networks of committed people and create synergies in which we address different actions in favor of the environment and the climate.

El cambio climático es un reto que necesita de una respuesta global actuando desde lo local bajo el principio de subisdiariedad de la UE. Ser embajador es un honor que nos permite crear redes de personas comprometidas y crear sinergias en las que abordamos diferentes acciones en favor del medio ambiente y el clima.

During my research career, I have always been trying to investigate on reducing the impact on the environment of human activity in telecommunications within the framework of several EU projects. Recently, I moved towards a more multidisciplinary paradigm, including different fields which will be predominantly from the energy consumption perspective in the next future, such as computing and AI. In fact, it is estimated that data-centre and AI processing will boost the energy consumption of the ICT ecosystem due to the data-tsunami we are generating with many new addictive data-hungry services. Moreover, I am collaborating in my neighbourhood with the Energetix group for fostering consciousness around the CO2 footprint of electric energy usage, for mitigating energy poverty and for implementing more environmentally-friendly practices.

We need to act now, so I am ready to be one of those who rise our voices and start to change how things work. We need to gather and to cooperate, and I will put all my efforts in make things happen and help others to make things happen.

I am Physicist and Master in Meteorology specialised in climate change communication. Since 2016 I work in mass and social media, I give conferences about climate change in companies, events, courses and schools, among others, and I have published a book about the basis of climate change ("Cambio Climático para Principiantes" [Climate Change for Beginners]).

We still have time to avoid the worst climate scenarios and some of the better ones are still achievable, but we need climate action from the entire society. As a Climate Ambassador, I will continue to create content and communicate about climate change to raise awareness about this crisis from children to CEOs. 

My main motivation is to create a more sustainable model with the planet and people by using renewable energy, develop cooperation and environmental technologies such recycling as key points to success in this objective. Bringing this objetive to the practise, I will fulfill this objective as ambrassador by orgasing Climathon in Seville, making a social sustainable network in Seville (business, authorities, associations and people) that join efforts to create solutions against climate.

Juan Luis Muñoz Arbona is a VET and English teacher, a National Geographic Certified Educator and a Teach SDGs Teacher ambassador.

He is also a lawyer and an active civil society member, belonging to Anna Lindh Foundation Spanish Network as a member and former Executive Committee member.

He also has some expertise gained through his work as an EU policy adviser within the European Institutions (2002-2009).

My new challenge is to promote green skills and lifelong learning for my students.

As an ambassador, I will take advantage of my extensive professional and academic experience in the field of climate policy and international relations to promote networks, partnerships, events, campaigns, and multi-actor platforms that promote an ambitious approach to climate action at all levels.

As Ambassador on the Climate Pact, I am working on creating a network of sustainable schools, eco-friendly schools. Local and European net of eco-friendly schools, schools which can share experiences, promote environmental actions and are decided to show the partner schools in order to join forces through European programmes such as Erasmus + or eTwinning.

From my personal and professional experience, I have been working in the field of sustainability from different projects and initiatives. As AnySolution's director I'm leading transformative projects that pursue not only sustainability but also to work with data to achieve it. Moving from perceptions to reality, in order to really contribute to a sustainable and resilient future. Tourism is one of my passions and I'm a believer about its positive impact to achieve this future

My motivation consists of helping to form critical, active, supportive, committed and co-responsible citizenship with their environment and with people, through social networks. My aim is that the information does not remain only on the screen, but that what is learned and shared digitally manifests in tangible results.

There is no doubt that Climate Change is THE GREAT CHALLENGE for our generation and future ones to overcome. Facing the societal transformation that is needed in order to minimise its effects is an urge that must be tackled in our daily lives. As a scientist I deeply value the transformation power that sharing our knowledge among the society has to raise awareness. As ambassador I am aiming to raise awareness by sharing my knowledge while actively push for a change.

Born in Malaga, in the south of Spain, my goal as an ambassador of the Pact is to act as a liaison between the academic, technical, and scientific realms and various social groups. My approach involves utilizing education and communication strategies tailored to the local populace to empower them with a deeper understanding of climate change issues, enabling them to make informed and responsible decisions. My aim is to ensure that all residents of Malaga have access to information about the causes, impacts, and potential solutions to the climate crisis within their immediate surroundings, through tangible, inclusive, and participatory initiatives.

With a background in biology and a master's degree in Ecology and Education, I currently serve as the director of socio-environmental projects at Social Climate, an Andalusian cooperative dedicated to catalyzing social innovation for climate action and justice at both local and international levels. Our efforts encompass economic localization, Nature-based Solutions, environmental education, and responsible tourism.

I believe in people as a fundamental pillar for creating cities with healthy and sustainable DNA, because only people are capable of changing paradigms and betting on technologies with more human sides. I am in love with sport, wellness and health, and for that reason I am the CEO/Founder of a startup based on a health and wellness mobile app, aiming to reduce involuntary sedentary lifestyles and promote the economic revival of cities, hand in hand with local businesses and sustainable mobility.
