Climate Pact Ambassadors

The Horta Sud Foundation has been working with civil society for 50 years in order to stimulate and strengthen the social frame of the region leading to a process of social transformation subject to values ​​and criteria that emanate from society itself. Only through collective action will we be able to face the challenges of the future: energy waste mobility climate... As manager and representative of the FHS it is an honor for me to present our candidacy.

There is more to Sustainability than meets the eye! Unlocking its full potential comes from turning values into value. As a Strategy and Innovation Executive, Academic and Consultant, I co-create sustainability strategies and help embed them into the DNA of organisations and individuals through Labs and Dialogues. As EU Climate Pact Ambassador, I'll leverage these vehicles to engage, raise awareness and build climate literacy in close by communities eager to learn and turn intention into action

As an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, I am dedicated to advancing local and regional climate action. In addition to my ongoing awareness-raising efforts across various platforms, I will actively share climate updates and provide accessible information to enhance public understanding. I will expand my outreach by facilitating virtual debates and by collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to implement practical solutions aligned with the EU Climate Pact's objectives. Together, we can drive meaningful change and build a sustainable future for generations to come.

At SBNCLIMA, we facilitate the design, evaluation and continuous improvement of Nature-Based Solutions to build climate resilience, by applying the IUCN Global Standard for NBS whose professional certification we hold. We work with entrepreneurs, companies (large & SMEs), business associations and chambers of commerce, project promoters, administration technicians and public agencies, either online or in person at Ribering, our incubator, coworking & coliving in Aranda de Duero (Burgos, Spain).

As co-founder and director of Fundación Foro NESI for New Economy and Social Innovation, I work to foster systemic change through political, economic, and territorial regeneration.

I enjoy supporting social entrepreneurs, developing innovative projects to transform our cities and villages, and connecting people and organisations working to change our economic system.

Climate justice must be intersectional, holistic and collective. As a BIPOC climate justice activist, biologist, trainer, and environmental educator, I work at the crossroads of science, education, biodiversity, and activism, focusing on vulnerable groups and amplifying marginalized voices. Through international projects, creative methodologies, and community action, I aim to inspire systemic change for a just and sustainable future. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I intend to bridge the gap.

As an Ambassador for the European Climate Pact, I am dedicated to:

1. Fostering an Active Community: Empowering youth and creative communities through Web3 technology to actively support urgent climate action.
2. Mobilizing Resources: Seeking opportunities to support impactful projects and programs addressing climate change challenges.
3. Active Participation in COP28 and Beyond: Contributing insights, perspectives, and expertise to shape effective climate policies and agreements at international conferences.

Through these responsibilities, I aim to make a meaningful impact as a European Climate Pact Ambassador, leading by example in climate action and environmental protection.

Expert in Circular Economy. In November 2021 I published my first book Agenda 2030. The Great Challenge of Sustainable Development. I have written more than 50 articles on social responsibility, Agenda 2030, ODS,

Circular economy, sustainability and executive management in SMEs and family businesses.

Very active on social networks, mainly in everything related to the 2030 Agenda, SDGs, Sustainability and Social Responsibility.

He is a member of the Board of Directors of Pikes Peak Renewable Investments Inc. (PPRI), a Colorado's SPV partially backed by the US Bank.

He also works for the Asian Development Bank (ADB), as Renewable Energy International Senior Consultant.

I have been delegate of EFE in Extremadura, Community of Madrid and Galicia. I chaired APIA and designed and founded www.efeverde.com. One of the 100 most committed Latinos to tackle the climate crisis in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Graduated in political science, I have specialised in new economies. I work as a speaker, disseminator and teacher on issues promoting sustainable economic development based on the circular economy. I have been linked to public management and the environment for more than a decade, where I have held various executive positions, in which I interacted with numerous local and national governments and international organisations.

As a promoter of the new paradigm of the circular economy since 2015, I have been a speaker at numerous international meetings. I am the author of the books “Circular Economy, cultural change” (2019), “How to click towards a new economy. A circular revolution with the human being at the center” (2021) and “Change the economy and you will change the world. From the end of the era of abundance to a new prosperity” (2023).

Designing a better future, a sustainable one. A lot of urgent actions are needed to reach the UN2030 Agenda, but a common one with high priority is linked with the climate. If climate is not secured, other actions could not be sustainable. I can feel need to act in favor of climate, so looking forward to create alliances that ensure a long term win relationship on benefit of all -public and private sector-. I can see it is possible. With more than 15 years working on Sustainability and as Director of “Companies for Sustainable Mobility” (www.movilidadsostenible.com.es), a coordinator of the National Mobility Awards; and as a teacher in different Masters in Sustainable Logistics, CSR, Circular Economy, Mobility, (EAE Business School, Loyola University, OBS Business School), I believe and work for a better and more sustainable world.

As a Young Ambassador of the United Nations, my focus is on raising awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals. My work focuses on raising awareness about climate action and social equity, particularly through workshops and local initiatives that connect young people to global challenges. Currently, I am studying International Business, which complements my commitment to sustainable development by providing me with the tools to address issues such as economics and social change.

I am very proud of being a climate pact ambassador, specially because I have experienced being part of such a strong community of motivated, engaged and brilliant people striving to make the world a better place. In my different roles, I am particularly specialised in the area of climate change adaptation, I thrive in the collective energy of our pact. I am currently Founder and Director of Icatalist an SME located in Spain, with a fantastic team currently involved in the EU mission on adaptation and a range of EU research projects. I am also a Research Fellow at the Royal Elcano Institute, part of the Climate, energy and water group. I was part of the IPCC AR6 WG II on Adaptation as Lead author for the water chapter and member of UNESCO Task force on Science Based water assessment. I am currently a member of the EU Scientific Advisory Board on Climate change . President of BRIGAID Connect Association, centered on capacity building for climate innovators. I am also a mother of three great young adults that prove to me everyday positive change is possible. I am also lucky to now have made friends with other climate pact ambassadors. Together we have high hopes on making climate action a reality, particularly for those that face ecoanxiety or scepticism, trying to show that climate action can make a difference into our quality of life and other species with what we do, think and share. Antonia has a BSc. in Agricultural Chemistry and a specialist in Environmental Engineering & Technology. She founded BIOAZUL to promote sustainability, environmental protection & efficient water management. She works for the European Commission as an expert & evaluator for projects linked to sustainable water management, circular economy, nature-based solutions & resource sustainability. Motivations as contributing to the resolution of social challenges has led her to be active member in NGOs, keeping attention to the citizen.

I fight for plastic-free seas in which all flora and fauna can live freely in their own natural habitat. I created the Jelly Cleaner to filter microplastics from the sea and to Raise Awareness about plastic pollution. I have a campaign on the Change.org platform, #NOESPAISPARADELFINES, to prohibit dolphinariums in Spain. I currently have over 101,000 signatures and have presented a motion in the Spanish Senate, which will be voted on this fall.

Included within the goals of REPLAXTIC MSCA-SE-IF-2020, the aim of my research is to upcycle plastic materials via catalytic chemical reaction into innovative electrolytes for lithium ions batteries. Together with all the people of the start-up I am working in, POLYKEY we are commit to share our sustainable research, the climate pact, how to responsably behave and let people know that there is no planet B.

Having worked for the EU until now, I would like to bring positive change on climate and environment in my country, Spain, and my region, Valencia. I intend to connect international and EU policy on climate and environment with action at local level; and engage with local authorities in the implementation of the EU recovery plan. I will engage in social media, teach and write articles on the European Green Deal; and organise activities on Mediterranean, forests, biodiversity & green buildings
