Korowód Bioregional Center is a grassroots foundation driving systemic change by harmonising human and natural systems within the Sudeten Mountains bioregion of Poland. Its mission is rooted in the bioregional approach, which views the region as a unique, place-based living system where people co-evolve with its soils, waters, animals and plants. The organisation believes that true regeneration happens through reconnection – cultural, ecological and economic.

The ‘intelligence of place’ is central to its work, guiding efforts to rediscover the unique, co-evolved qualities of the region. By drawing on local knowledge and scientific insight, Korowód fosters a deep understanding of the bioregion's shared history and everyday practices. It uses this perspective to co-create solutions with farmers, communities and scientists, transforming fragmented local initiatives into a cohesive and impactful movement for regeneration.

This approach directly supports the goals of the European Climate Pact by reconnecting people with nature, strengthening environmental stewardship, and inspiring bottom-up climate action tailored to the specific needs of the region.
