Climate of Change will train a minimum of 20 young Europeans in 2022 on the topics of climate change, the consequences of climate change on migration, how the current economic system is degrading climate and how the youth can influence policy makers
This number of young people could be increased thanks to the EU Climate Pack network, where interested ambassadors could follow the training to lobby policy makers on how they could influence them to respect and work towards the achievement of the Paris agreement without leaving anyone behind. The partners of Climate of Change (including the EEB) will participate in the training of the young people. Once they are trained, the EEB will be the main organiser of activities where these young people will meet policy makers. This is linked to the DEAR project Climate of Change. Regarding the trainings, the young people will be selected from the Pan EU debate final contest that took place in November 2021 in Brussels (link: https://climateofchange.info/brussels-hosts-pan-eu-debate-contest-final…). The format will be 7 sessions online, each was composed of: 0,30 h Team Building + 1,30 h Content. We will use the materials produced by the CoC project (https://climateofchange.info/publications-press/). WeWorld will take care of the logistics to set up the zoom calls. WeWorld and the other partners included in each session will present the content to the students. For instance, the EEB will participate in the sessions about advocacy, comms, and migration and economy.
