WWF is one of the world’s most influential environmental organisations which has more than six million supporters. With projects in roughly a hundred countries, WWF’s mission is to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature. In order to achieve their goals, WWF work both at the political level and in the field and in close cooperation with civil society as well as companies around the world.

WWF Sweden is a non-profit Swedish foundation that works for the global goals of the WWF network. WWF Sweden leads the WWF’s global work on sustainable cities and is a pioneer in this field for more than 10 years. WWF Sweden is the host of the WWF Cities Area of Competence within the Climate and Energy Practice of the WWF Network and coordinates and supports engagement with cities worldwide by all WWF offices. This includes running the One Planet City Challenge which has engaged more than 900 cities since 2011. WWF Cities also coordinates working groups on urban food systems and urban nature-based solutions as well as engaging with international city networks and coordinating city-related policy engagement and climate advocacy at an international level.
