Landessportbund Berlin (Berlin Sports Association)

The Landessportbund Berlin (Berlin Sports Association) is the umbrella organization of all non-profit sport clubs in Berlin. In around 2,400 clubs and 80 sports federations there are 780,000 members, making it the biggest organization of Berlin’s civil society. Landessportbund Berlin’s core aim is to provide the best conditions for sport clubs and their members to do sports. Given its size and social significance, Landessportbund Berlin also promotes the values of sports, serving as a role model for its members.

Sustainability in all aspects is a key priority in this regard. Landessportbund Berlin advises sport organizations on how to become more sustainable, through partnering with environmental institutions and nature conservation bodies to lead the way to more sustainability in sports, ensuring that natural resources are not exploited.
