Meet our Ambassadors

The Mediterranean, 0,8% of the seas and 7.5% of the world marine biodiversity, warms 20% more than the average. A first step to a net zero Med transport is the reduction of the sulphur in fuels used by ships (MED ECA - Emission Control Area). Already existing ECAs (North America, Baltic & North Sea, Chinese Sea) led to more than 50% cuts in ship emissions. My activity is focusing on awareness raising and facilitating MED ECA designation and set up of zero emissions maritime deployment projects.

I am a mum of four with a life long love of nature and a deep aversion to waste of any kind. I work full time as a local representative County Councillor. This means I am working closely with our Local Government to support their work on climate action and biodiversity loss and help bridge the gap between policy and action at local level. This can often mean supporting communities to access correct information on climate action projects and feed back concerns the public have. 

I am volunteer Chairperson of our local tidy towns organisation Keep Kilkenny Beautiful and I believe this is the most powerful organisation for climate action in communities in Ireland. Increasingly Keep Kilkenny Beautiful works on a lot of projects aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and halting biodiversity loss. We do this through programmes to eliminate invasive species, improve water quality highlight waste and encouraging waste reduction by doing more with less. 

I am a young architect and entrepreneur. As the co-founder of Charger.ro - the first end-to-end online platform that brings together experts, and curated smart & green devices, from consultancy to implementation & management of the devices, I focus all my work on developing innovative solutions that will change our perspective on a greener future, educate communities & interconnect technology with real people. I believe in making the adoption of green energy more accessible, cheaper & fun!

Since I'm a passionate environmental professional I try to promote sustainable lifestyles wherever I work. I understand that the key success to make positive changes in society comes through educating people. Therefore advocating for climate change and sustainability through media and SoMe is crucial. I have been doing this already for a few years and I find this as my mission and driver, since I care for the planet and people who live on it. I'll continue publishing my thoughts and facts on SoMe.

I am a 23 years old, currently undertaking an Economic Development and Innovation Masters at Santiago de Compostela University. At the same time I am the leader of Xuventudes Socialistas de Galicia (Young Galician Socialists).

My goals as Ambassador are focussed on raising awareness of the risks of climate change but also showing that there are solutions, some of them already being implemented.

Galicia is a particular region from Spain with four Provinces which have a lot of potential with regards to renewable and sustainable actions, and we want to highlight them.

As a Climate ambassador, I will focus on climate education & awareness-raising and promote biodiversity, green areas protection and development of green skills.

One of the main objectives will be to bring citizens, volunteers, experts, businesses, politicians and Institutions together and facilitate conversations about climate change.

I am a mix of activist, educator, and entrepreneur. My intention over the upcoming year is to educate 10,000 individuals on practical steps they can take for climate action.

After having worked for 10 years on climate research and realised that the major problem to tackle the climate crisis is political will, I turned to climate activism hoping to change decisions made on climate change.

I am a European Climate Pact Ambassador with the commitment to mobilise society to get involved in climate action, particularly to push for policies that are ambitious and aligned with the scientific evidence to prevent dangerous climate change.

As a climate change expert and TV commentator I am committing to build solid understanding, based on my technical background, of the climate change footprint in our territory, of impactful extreme climate events and the necessity for new policies that decarbonise the key emitting sectors in Portugal.

Mobilisation requires visibility and emotional connection with the climate crisis. Engaging social media content, actions in schools and debates with sectors skeptical of climate action are my favoured way to contribute as an Ambassador

I am originally from France and began my career as a financial auditor but decided to change fields, obtaining a teaching certification in economics and sociology in 2013. In 2018, I moved to Italy and won a scholarship to undertake a Ph.D. in economic sociology at the University of Milan. During this time, I conducted one of the first European studies examining the ability of energy communities to promote greater democracy and justice, with a specific focus on the role of women in the renewable energy sector. I successfully completed my Ph.D. in December 2022 and am currently employed as a researcher at the University of Trento, where I continue to explore themes related to democracy, justice, and the involvement of women in the energy sector. Since 2019, I have also taken the initiative to establish an association that organises activities and workshops centered around sustainability and the preservation of Lake Como, where I live.

Raluca is a passionate advocate of the SDGs since 2015, a youth worker with a formal education background in Human Resources Management and International Business and Economics.

I am a Greek-American from San Francisco with a background in international affairs, human rights, and social impact. Since receiving my M.A. in International Public Management from SciencesPo Paris School of International Affairs, I have worked for UNDP, UNICEF, and a social impact consulting firm. I have been a part of non-profits in the U.S., Greece, and France, focusing on a variety of issues, but all towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. I have a B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College of Columbia University. As Ecogenia’s development manager, I am inspired by our mission and vision, and am humbled to be a part of a team of incredible people committed to building a better future for Greece.

As an Ambassador, I plan to engage my community and inspire action through social media updates, knowledge dissemination, and practical activities. 

I am a university professor passionate about inspiring the next generation on the importance of climate engagement. As an ambassador, I will work to mainstream climate and environmental issues into my school's curiculum. I want to make sure students of all backgrounds and degrees understand the complex nature of the crisis facing us. At the same time, I will work so that they also have the passion and tools to help transform society.

My Instagram profile is focused on sustainable living, to chart, monitor and share my environmental awareness journey. The platform started as a way to meet other like minded people who shared similar views and interest in the climate crisis. It now acts as a network for people all over the world to connect with others who are sharing tips on sustainable living, environmental awareness and issues of concern that need urgent action eg. signing petitions and participating in events and campaigns.

As an ambassador I will continue raising awareness around global warming, its severe consequences for our health, ecology and economy and how every single person can make an contribution, from small to big.

I am a violinist, conductor, and composer based in Paris, passionate about integrating music, art, and climate action. At the same time, I am a musician of "Jeunes Talents" Association in France, one of the four selected members of "Personnalité Amie du Comité UNICEF Île-de-France”, an “Artist for The Amazon" of the Amazon Aid Foundation, among others. As part of my Master’s research at the Paris Conservatoire, I delve into interdisciplinary collaborations to inspire individual actions on environmental sustainability. As a Pact Ambassador, I will be organising a series of virtual and in-person events throughout the year, collaborating with artists from different domains. These events, starting in suburbs and disadvantaged communities in Île-de-France and expanding to an Eastern European tour, aim to reach diverse audiences, especially young people less familiar with climate challenges, to spur meaningful action.

My purpose in life is to facilitate a communication revolution for a healthier planet by providing international communication expertise, guidance and services, empowering clients, often from marginalised communities, and partners to communicate in an uncertain world in an incisive and professional manner. Climate Change affects all of us. We should all have climate change at the heart of our communications, so we can build a better tomorrow together, united in our diversity.

If you can’t measure it you can’t change it. In my ambassadorship, I focuse on bringing science into the sustainability talks. I advocate the use of science based measures like lifecycle assessments and system-thinking to drive zero-carbon transportation and production.

I am the President of the Luxembourg Youth Parliament. I have always loved to get involved, whether at local, national or European level. For example, I have given a Tedtalk, I am a Chieftain in my scout group and I have participated in numerous MUNs, MEPs and EYPs, among many other roles.

All of my involvement has been in some way related to the fight against climate change. In fact, a big reason for me having become involved in youth politics and activism was the Fridays for Future movement.

Finally, I am looking forward to the coming year, excited about the many amazing events that I want to create as part of this role :)

Through my background in sustainable territorial development and climate change, my mission is to support the transition towards diverse regenerative futures. I seek to spark collective action within youth networks and local communities across Europe and beyond.

As an ambassador, I will support activities to create alliances among multiple societal stakeholders such as community-led initiatives, activists, the youth and citizens to promote climate and social justice at the heart of the transition.
