Meet our Ambassadors

As Ambassador I will help to raise awareness on climate change, visibilize and difuse solutions and support climate justice and social inclusion. My main motivation is to help to build a more resilience, sustainable and faire society.

In my role as European Climate Pact Ambassador, I will:

• Utilise my network of scientists (I am a grant writer in bioeconomy/climate/sustainability fields), climate activists & local/national politicians to inform & engage Helsinki residents in taking concrete steps towards climate action;
• Communicate knowledge on challenges/solutions;
• Organise events & share local context-specific solutions, taking into account views & ideas of residents;
• Develop policy recommendations for Helsinki.

Every morning I wake up with new ideas and energy to create and search for new solutions. In life, I am guided by the words   "Because what we do today, we do for Generations"

I belive that I have a chance, even to a small extent, to contribute to the improvement of peaople's lives and maintain peace in the world.

I am the Head of the Spatial Management and Real Estate Department of the Mińsk Mazowiecki City Hall. I graduated from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Department of Landscape Architecture. I have been a professional public administration official for fifteen years. In the years 2008 - 2018, I was responsible for spatial planning at the Stanisławów Commune Office, and from 2019 in Mińsk Mazowiecki. I was a  member of many interdisciplinary groups in the field of recreation and development. I am one of the initiators of activities to protect the quality of life of residents and the city's spatial policy. I coordinated the "Action Plan for Cities" programmme implemented within the project of the city of Mińsk Mazowiecki “Adoption of the local spatial plan for the implementation of SIM-Mińsk Mazowiecki”. Moreover, I participated in an interdisciplinary team that created the "Local Development Program of the City of Mińsk Mazowiecki".

I am a climate change law specialist and dedicated environmentalist with over five years of experience in hosting radio shows and podcasts, including "Eco Activist Journeys" and the "People of COP Podcast." As an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, I leverage these platforms to raise awareness of climate action, highlight expert contributions to sustainability, and share environmental developments within the EU and globally. Additionally, my experience as a youth delegate at multiple UN Conferences as well as NGO communications associate of Change for Planet and co-lead of Youth for Ecocide Law informs my commitment to this role. In 2020, I published "Dear Earth," a poetry book aimed at using art and poetry to inspire societal change. I am devoted to merging my passion for art and law to bridge environmental issues and climate solutions for a global audience.

The climate crisis and species extinction are forcing us to rethink our lives. Its effects are connected and will have an impact to all of us: Our health and the health of our society, the well-being of our economy, and the functioning of democracy – all of this depends on how we respond to the climate crisis.

It can't go on like this! We can't go on! All our daily steps and decisions have a direct impact on how the world will be for our children and children. The protection of the environment concerns us all and I want to be a good role model for my children. I would like to leave you a world where you can grow up as carefree as I could.

As an Pact Ambassador,  I am committed to talking to many people, encouraging them to participate and rethink in a positive way. Together we achieve a lot! And every small step counts.

I am a co-founder and organiser at Rodzice dla Klimatu - the first grassroot movement in Poland that, since 2019, brings together parents from various areas, working for the safety, health and future of children in the context of ongoing climate change. I am a graduate of political science and quality management studies. I am currently during postgraduate MBA studies in energy and climate policy management. In 2021-2022, I was a member of the Round Table for Climate Education organised by UN Global Compact Network Poland and the coordinator of the parents' table. In 2021, I graduated from the Ecologic Academy for Women organised by the Heinrich Böll Stiftung. I work as a quality and certification system specialist at a research institute.  I am the mother of Marysia, Olek and Zosia.

As an ECP Ambassador I will focus on three areas:

 - climate education at schools and among adults and decision-makers

 - plant-based meals in public institutions

 - "school streets" and sustainable transport.

My name is Jakub Wiech, I am a journalist and influencer, and for past seven years I have been trying to introduce the idea that climate change threatens us all and that energy transformation is a necessity to the Polish politicians, journalists and influencers. So far, I managed to convinced some of the unconvinced, and I try to do this as effectively as possible - I hope that I will have a chance to do it not only in Poland, but throughout the entire European Union.

I will do my upmost to honor the assignment as an ambassador to inspire fellow Europeans to gain insights to the climate challenge and how we can all make a difference by gradually changing our daily lives. I will communicate why this is absolutely necessary if we want to hand over a livable planet to future generations.

Climate change is an intergenerational challenge! We must set the course today so that tomorrow, life on earth is still worth living and, above all, possible. This joint responsibility requires an exchange that transcends age and national borders. This is what I am committed to as President of MeetEU.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will use all my energy to organise digital engagement formats in a colorful team promoting climate debate. Comprehensibility and tolerance are the basis here - because the participants have different political points of view. I will also share new climate innovations within Europe, whether it is a new law becoming a global trendsetter or a cool start-up. As part of my engagement, I will work to bring these significant innovations to more citizens because we need these motivating examples in order not to lose hope. 

Youth is our greatest potential for a sustainable future. That is why I want to sensitise and train our youth in the topics of "sustainability", "climate protection", "energy and resource management" and "digitalisation". As a result, these young people should be well equipped to subsequently pass on a world fit for future generations.

I am a member of the Danish Youth Climate Council. We are innovatively helping the ministry of climate by proposing solutions, gathered from youth, firms and NGOs in Denmark.

We are working on the implementation of Local Youth Climate Councils. Where youth gets a chance to interact with local politicians and help shape local climate action and events. Giving youth an insight into politics and organise events to gather around the topic of climate change. 

I am working as a Funding & Project Manager at the City of Aarhus, focusing on climate, climate adaptation and biodiversity. Also, in my spare time, I am engaged in building a collaboration platform based on the world's first Taxonomy of Everything that Matters to Make the World Work. These are the credentials that I bring to the table as an ambassador.

As an Ecological Climate Pact Ambassador, I would like to focus on the synergy of ecological and climate awareness actions that we have been already undertaking in the ROBYG S.A., as a part of ESG policy, with promoting climate pact values. As a company, we are sharing those values and promoting among our clients and local communities and advocating climate actions on a regional and national level. I truly believe that what we do today for climate protects the future of the next generations.

At the provincial level we create and will create further support programs for local governments related to climate change adaptation. In our strategy of Mazowieckie Voivodship there are indicated goals, which are to be compatible with the European Green Deal. Cohesion policy and the new European Union perspective for 2021-2027 as well as particular priority axes and objectives related to climate policy are also important in this context.

I am a climate, zero waste and sustainability educator, trainer, mentor and consultant. I cooperate with private and public sector, NGOs, schools and local communities. I deliver various webinars and workshops in the field od sustainability including Climate Fresk. I advise Polish businesses on their transformation towards sustainable development. I am also a climate leader in the Partnership for the Climate of the City of Warsaw, Climate Leadership by UNEP-GRID and Climate Leadership Project.

I am an Ambassador who is motivated to drive capacity building within communities. I am working at the intersection between schools, local communities and universities. My motivation is to create a network of people who are working on solving climate change. I aim to educate the most people I can on climate change. For example, people working in organisations who have heard about climate change however don't know much more about it.

As ambassador, I would like to organise a whole range of activities, mostly related to promoting climate adaption associated with new media and social media platforms. As aninternational film festival host, jury and producer, I would produce films about EU climate resilient activities, organise film festival seminars with climate themes, write relevant promotion articles on social media platform, organise asian students online training sessions with European experts on climate change.  These social media campaign and online summits on EU climate related subjects, will especially targeting women, girls and asian.minorities, call for increasing climate awareness in minority communities. Offline community workshops, one day trips, open labs visits will also be organised.  

I show how to rapidly implement climate action and the energy transition on the local level to the benefit of all.
