Meet our Ambassadors

The main aim of the Institute of climate neutrality is to bring solutions, raise awareness, build capacities and networks and support the initiative campaigns to accelerate the transformation of society to become real climate-neutral (net-zero).

I work as a climate innovation leader. Bringing together people to take climate action is my role and passion. I will arrange a hackathon for youth, create a climate investment plan for The City of Borås and create knowledge material that I will happily share with others within this network.

My motto is "Think Green, Act Local". In the past years, I devoted myself to raising awareness about the environment and creating change at the grassroots level of my community. As an Ambassador, my mission is to stick to my values and keep being focused on spreading the message that we need to change now by adopting new habits, To achieve this, my main area of focus will be the planning and promotion of local activities about climate change in a combination with school visits.

In my role as a Climate Change Ambassador, I bring a distinctive blend of expertise and fervour to the cause, which complements my background as a Ph.D. candidate specialising in Energy and Sustainability. My intended initiatives center on closing the divide between state-of-the-art research and practical, implementable solutions. I intend to collaborate with academic institutions, industry influencers, and policymakers to communicate the most recent discoveries in climate science and sustainable energy technologies. Through partnerships, workshops, and advocacy for policy reform, I strive to stimulate inventive approaches that effectively address the challenges posed by climate change. Whether it involves nurturing cross-disciplinary discussions, advancing the adoption of renewable energy sources, or championing policies grounded in evidence, my goal is to serve as a catalyst for transformative change and an exemplar of well-informed leadership in the field of climate action.

In my pursuit as an alpinist, to climb the highest summit of each of the 7 continents, I traveled to the most remote places on Earth, witnessed the degradation of our planet’s natural environment and decided to act.

In 2020, I founded the organization “AWomanCanBe.org” focusing on women empowerment & collaboration for nature & environmental sustainability. Women For Nature and Women For Climate are not only our mottos but also our main initiatives.

However, I also use my professional experience as a communications and sustainability consultant to help promote climate action. Therefore, as EU Climate Pact Ambassador my contribution is in the field of raising public awareness about the environmental changes that occur, through the organization of events & inspiring projects that educate and motivate communities on climate crisis issues and the need for adaptation and resilience.

I connect society, organisations, companies, experts and politicians for collaborative climate action with offline and online events. On my social media profiles I inspire, educate and engage with my followers for action.

As a former ERASMUS student in Paris and Vienna, it is my goal to educate about European achievements and encourage people to vote for climate action during the EU elections 2024.

As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, with a deep passion for politics, economics and sustainability, as well as 5+ years of experience in climate action work, advocacy and campaigning on regional, national and international level, I am highly motivated to use my skills to create a more sustainable future for all. I am spearheading the Youth Climate and Sustainability Roundtables at Generation Climate Europe (GCE) that are instrumental in fostering meaningful intergenerational dialogue and articulating urgent climate demands of the youth to European Commissioners. Additionally, within Fridays for Future Europe (FFF), I am driving impactful campaigns focused on critical European climate policies. Through all my efforts, I aspire to amplify youth voices, drive extensive engagement and influence sustainable policy changes.

I am a sustainable development and climate change professional with experience in policy, performance and strategy development. I am a solution-oriented leader with a passion for sustainability, driven by my commitment to continuous improvement and orchestrating change through innovative partnership initiatives.

This year as a climate ambassador I plan to organise or co-organise events focused on green energy and climate change. I will  try to make an impact by spreading the word about the benefits of green energy, effective urban planning and how every one of us can make a difference, both individually or as small groups for a big cause, namely our common planet.

I possess a profound commitment to catalysing transformative change and forging harmonious collaboration among diverse stakeholders. My overarching mission is to unite communities, organisations, and individuals in a collective endeavour to raise awareness and drive purposeful action on pressing global challenges. My strategic plan encompasses a multifaceted approach, including orchestrating compelling awareness campaigns that resonate widely, fervently advocating for sustainable practices that safeguard our planet's future. I will also facilitate thought-provoking dialogues on paramount issues such as climate change, social justice, and global health. Through these well-coordinated initiatives, I envision being a driving force in inspiring a global community to rally around a vision of a world characterised by profound equity, sustainability, and interconnectedness. In this vision, the transcendent power of collaboration effortlessly traverses borders and barriers.

I am a science teacher that tries to live more sustainably - I try my best to reduce waste, to reduce carbon emissions in transportation, promote sustainable food production and raise awareness of the importance of biodiversity.

I focus on green transportation - I sold my car and do all my daily business on my bike (and occasionally public transportation).

I am also a scout and I will prepare my next challenge with my scout unit - "the library of things".

My name is Meda and I will be organising monthly Climate Cafe events in Kaunas. My aim is to establish a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can convene, engage in discourse about climate-related concerns, exchange innovative ideas, and acquire comprehensive insights into the Climate Pact and what it aims to achieve.

My activities focus on supporting local governments and non-governmental organizations through substantive training and workshops, environmental education, and financing activities aimed at preventing climate change and minimizing its negative effects. I plan to advocate against climate change at a local level, I will encourage Local Municipalities to participate ate in the 'Green Cities' program. At International level, I will organize plantation drives at the Institutional level.

I am a climate pact ambassador who is passionate about taking action for the climate and the environment. I plan to engage and educate the public through various activities, such as:

- Developing a videonewsletter series about SDG13 and sharing the latest climate research with the public 

- Highlighting online courses on Climate Action that can provide people with the knowledge and skills they need to take action

- Organising webinars with various stakeholders to foster dialogue and collaboration on how to achieve the goals of the Climate Pact

- Making use of my LinkedIn network to spread the word about the climate pact and its objectives and encourage people to join the community

- Designing animation video that explains the climate pact goals in a simple and inspiring way

- Collaborating with my fellow Climate Pact feambassadors to design collective actions that can create a bigger impact in their communities.

As a Pact Ambassador, I am dedicated to advancing climate action with a strong emphasis on education and inclusivity. With a background in sustainability and agriculture, I am focusing on my mission to raise awareness and cultivate a collective commitment to climate action among diverse audiences, particularly in educational institutions. My initiatives encompass developing educational resources, delivering impactful presentations, and organising empowering workshops, with a specific focus on inspiring youth, empowering girls, and engaging citizens in countering climate misinformation, ultimately encouraging climate-neutral practices. I am enthusiastic about leveraging my roles as a sustainability researcher and citizen scientist, utilising social media and conference platforms to drive practical solutions for a sustainable future. Together, our collective efforts can truly make a significant impact in the battle against climate change.

As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I will raise awareness on the impacts of climate change and how to stop the perpetuattion of structural inequalities, such as those between women and men. I will promote the involvement of women in decision-making, so we can help drive the adoption of climate change policies and strengthen the efforts by ensuring they benefit the needs of women and the communities that they are members of. I will actively build networks of experts, public stake holders and civil society representatives, so that the gender gaps can be reduced and the access to resources, education and information can be assured for women working in rural areas across Romania and Europe. 

From medical doctor to social media intern to Media Director to health/queer activist and aspiring author, my journey has been far from a traditional one, but I have certainly kept myself busy over the past 30 years. I am passionate about plant based eating, environmental conservation, unpacking Malta's history through a decolonising lens, queer activism and youth work, and writing.

Through my work as Climate Pact Ambassador, I aim to make climate action understandable, accessible and attainable, regardless of resource availability, knowledge or community space. Starting local and expanding beyond the borders of my tiny homeland of Malta, I hope to use my voice and actions to inspire others to do the same. From social media efforts, to panel discussions, to collaborative pieces, art spaces, community events, and discussions with local governance, I want to show that anyone can take the first step towards embracing the power of environmental and climate action. 

I am a biologist, epidemiologist, and climate activist. I identify as an eco-feminist and as a member of the board of the Union of Women Alternative and Response, I actively contribute to raising awareness of the challenges that climate change poses to gender equality and women’s rights. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I intend to develop a program in the northern region of Portugal, aimed at promoting climate literacy, particularly focused on rural women in the interior of Portugal. Through conferences, workshops, debates, film screenings, and hands-on activities centered around climate action, good practices for a more sustainable way of life and the protection of local biodiversity, I intend to bridge the knowledge gap on climate change, especially for those living outside major urban centers who have limited access to such training, in particular, rural women. I am committed to making a meaningful and lasting impact on the climate initiatives in our local communities.

My mission as an Ambassador is to make people aware of a better and fairer world to live in.

I believe that together we can make a huge difference through our purposes for the regeneration of our planet. Society must be united with the objective of carrying out and implementing actions that achieve good and valuable objectives.

My main motivation is through cleaning, active research, education, awareness and especially respect for nature to achieve a better world for all.
