Meet our Ambassadors

I'm Rada Boneva, also known as Thrift Sheep. I've created my blog thriftsheep.com back in 2017 as a mission to promote secondhand shopping and vintage treasure hunting, but a few months later I decided to take the path of the zerowaste journey. Since then, I have been sharing my experience and knowledge on environmentalism, climate issues, biodevisity and eco mindfullness for individuals. In 2019 was born ThrftSheep Podcast - a stricly thematic podcast in Bulgarian language with wide range of experts.

As president of Harghita County Council, Romania, I represent a region in which environmental and agricultural subjects are always present in our public dialogue. Being a mountainous and rural area, the economy, tourism, nature protection, biocultural diversity all depend on the climate changes. As member of the ENVE Commission of the CoR, and CoR Ambassador of Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy I will assume the steps needed to be in the benefit of our local and regional communities.

Ethereal Earth-pop duo Berne poetically use music to talk about issues they care deeply about: the climate emergency and social justice, while instilling hope for the future. Berne's activism doesn't just stop at music. That's why they created a low impact, eco-friendly website. To raise further awareness they built an interactive music map that highlights environmental initiatives around the world. Supported by the likes of EU DG Climate Action, #TheWRD from The Ivors Academy, BBC Introducing, EARMILK, Headliner Magazine, and Sound City, Berne continue in their mission to inspire and urge people to bring about change in the world, to highlight that we are in charge of the future and that together we can make a real difference.

I am a young European woman with a firm belief in the values of democracy, equality, and dialogue. I'm inspired by action and I act to inspire!

In my fight against the most urgent challenge, the climate crisis, I try to put the people and their needs first. As an EU Climate Pact Ambassador I wish to focus on just transition, climate education, awareness raising, and public participation.

I am an environmentalist made in Sardinia, born at 350 ppm and when the Montreal Protocol came into force.

I am passionate about human dynamics and how we can lead people to implement sustainable action by inspiring them through storytelling. My objective as an ambassador is to inspire sustainable behavior change by implementing good climate communication. A communication that is both about accountability and inspiration, that talks about vision and solutions starting from scientific data.

Vice-President for Europe and International of Nouvelle-Aquitaine, President of COTER at the European Committee of the Regions, I want to get involved in sustainable development and in the fight against climate change. Through its Neo Terra roadmap, my Region shares the same ambitions as the European Green Pact and wants to become an exemplary territory. Néo Terra, eleven commitments in many sectors (companies, transport, agroecology, biodiversity, energy ...).

Being enthusiastic & determined is fundamental to keep going on, to believe in our ability to improve our world. I wish to put those qualities at the service of this CP.

As an ambassador, I will strive for reaching out people and organization, lead them to fight against global warming, by spreading knowledge and awareness campaign regarding causes and consequences of climate change.

I also seek to fulfill my mission by linking organizations and my network all together, to help bring solutions.

As a Climate Pact Ambassador my mission is to build awareness through engaging educational experiences that will bring empowerment and motivation to the individual. Every opportunity to share knowledge with the public will be through community based & experiential events. These events based in dance, art, & schools, will be unique opportunities to engage intellectually, creatively, emotionally, socially, or physically in relation to our local environmental concerns on the island of Mallorca. 

It has been thirty years since I was first elected as a public representative. I am conscious that together on this planet we do not have another thirty years in which to get things right. More selfishly I want a planet that my grandchildren can live on sustainably.

For me being a climate activist is a way of live. My actions typically focus on decision-makers, teachers, youth, media but at the same time I hope my every day choices inspire others to also take steps towards living within the planetary boundaries.

During my mandate as European Climate Pact Ambassador, I will ardently support initiatives that extend the reach and impact of the EU's climate engagement beyond our geographical confines. I wholeheartedly believe in the untapped potential of technology, science, and the compelling insights from neuroscience when applied to both business strategies and individual behaviors. To this end, I will actively seek and foster collaborations with emerging economies, ensuring we jointly address the pivotal scope 3 challenges. My steadfast vision is anchored in a future that is not just sustainable, but one that is circular, inclusive, and regenerative. I am committed to implementing evidence-based programs that not only build trust but also guarantee a dual ROI: a tangible Return on Investment paired with a transformative Return on Impact. I am driven by the conviction that, together, we can shape a future where economic growth and environmental responsibility coalesce seamlessly.

I was born in 1982, mother, engineer and President of AESS (Agency for Energy and Sustainable Development) , Director General of RENAEL (National Network of local energy agencies) . Past Major Deputy, Member of the Committee of the Regions , coordinator of "Anci giovane" Emilia Romagna. My engagement as an Ambassador will be focused on the promotion and dissemination of events on the topics related to the Climate Pack (in particular energy transition, ecodigital issues, sustainability communication in public sector, mitigation and adaptation policy, and the transition towards carbon neutrality) and on the creation of digital formats to let public and private decision makers express their voice regarding their own experiences and objectives.

I am co founder of Cycling4Climate and Sinkit. With Cycling4Climate we will organise climate awareness & action rides in at least 10 countries in 2024.  With Sinkit, a carbon removal cooperative, I will ignite and execute carbon removal projects and advocate for true carbon compensation and carbon responsibility.  Additional to this I give energy transition courses in high schools and I will organise the Dutch and Earth Overshoot day in the Netherlands. 

I work as a freelance artist in the performing arts and believe that the role of artists will be important in handling the consequences of climate change change. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will spread knowledge among artists globally about sustainability and how it can have a key role in the performing arts. Working in the field of set and costume design, we witness the need for the performing arts industry to begin developing methods and tools, adopted both by artists and institutions, geared towards making the industry more sustainable. In coming years, sustainability will, alongside things like timeframes and economy, be a key factor to be considered as we plan and design our productions. A circular production model will free up valuable resources and retain unique competencies to meet the demands of the future.

As an Ambassador, I will:

- inform with scientific evidence about the climate situation on my social media

- give talks in public places such as schools and other centers

- organize events such as plastic collections and tree plantations

- make recipes with sustainable food and without waste

- inform how to preserve the biodiversity of land and ocean

I am excited to serve as an Ambassador for green and ecological activities through the realm of musical events. My mission is to bridge the gap between the world of music and environmental consciousness. Through various initiatives, I plan to promote sustainable practices within the music industry, including reducing carbon footprints, minimising single-use plastics, and advocating for eco-friendly transportation options for event attendees. I will work closely with musicians, event organisers, and fans to inspire positive change by showcasing the importance of responsible environmental stewardship through music, art, and culture. Together, we can harmonise our passion for music with a commitment to preserving our planet for future generations.

I am a multidiciplinary professional, focused on developing an enabling environment for the energy transition and innovation in climate adaptation. I am pleased to be part of this EU-wide endeavour towards a future-proof path, based on holistic viewpoints, a somber assessment procedure and strong collaborations on all levels.

I wrote the SDG Manifesto for the United Nations and am working with the UNFCCC since 2019 on the next set of goals that come after the SDG’s.

As a longtime student of Ecological Economics, Regenerative Futurism, and Systems Science I have been involved in Climate and Environmentalism for a long time and would love to show you how to run faster than climate change by being an impactful and exponential human being. I am on a mission to empower billions of global citizens to live an adaptive lifestyle of health and sustainability within the safe operating spaces of our planetary boundaries. I has been active for over two decades preparing us all for the future of work and living to move us out of the Anthropocene into the Symbiocene.

I am a passionate sustainable fashion enthusiast. I am a small business owner reselling vintage and designer clothes full-time as well as creating content related to sustainability in the fashion industry. As an Ambassador I commit to providing useful information to my followers about how they can take action and lead a more planet-friendly lifestyle.
