Meet our Ambassadors

As president of Košice Self-governing Region I promote and support green solutions and that's why we adopted The Landscape Recovery Program. The main aim is to increase biodiversity in the region. Moreover we are open to apply new hydrogen technologies and support decorbonization of the region which is in risking numbers. I am eager to exchange knowledge at EU level as a member of CoR and vicepresident of ENVE Commissions with experts from the whole of Europe.

I would like to share my experience and my passion related to the issues of both energy efficiency and the conscious and flexible management of energy in buildings, with particular attention to energy communities.

I want to ensure that energy is a shared and exchangeable good, allowing everyone to play an active and informed role leveraging digital technologies.

More is different! And this is why I want to develop awareness and connect people in the design of a new city image.

I am representing my grassroot-organisation Scientists for Future Germany, the "voice of science" within the German climate movement. We contribute to political discussions and build bridges to facilitate dialogue and insight. My own research activities in transforming Eastern European Countries showed me that common problems need common action and understanding. As Ambassdor, I add the voice of the EU to reach-out activities of my organisation - and the voice of my organisation to the EU.

Professionaly I work in a climate related science institute and I have been leading national long term climate strategy. But when it comes to talking to my friends, outside my work bubble, I see people still dont have enough knowledge about climate change, about which measures to take, what can help the climate or the environment. And also since a huge transition needs to be made in the upcoming years to reach climate neutrality, we really need to gather all the people that we can get to help advocate.

I was raised in Rijeka, Croatia, where I also obtained my MBA in Energy Sector Economics. I began my postgraduate doctoral studies in Economics and Business economics in 2019 with a PhD thesis closely linked to sustainable development. I frequently attended seminars and workshops at the University of Rijeka's Science and Technology Park (STEP-RI) during my doctorate. I am a proud member of the Society for Designing Sustainable Development (DOOR) in Zagreb, Member of the Board of Directors of French Alliance in Rijeka, and a proud member of the Network for the Promotion of Women in the Energy Transition (X-Energy) today. I am fluent in English, German, French, Italian, and Russian. My research areas are energy efficiency and sustainable tourism development. As a Climate Pact Ambassador, I will continue to be the best of my abilities to promote the sustainable development goals.

My overarching goal is to promote city-level action and regional and global peer-to-peer learning and engagement while building the potential for cities and regions to lobby their national governments and regional institutions on specific areas of the sustainable development and green recovery. We need to build regional coalitions that drive towards the key real economy outcomes necessary in order to hold on global temperature warming at no more than 1.5°C level.

Through the role of an Ambassador, my motivation is to promote research (e.g. in the context of EU-funded projects, collaborative platforms, etc), from my function as Project Manager/Sr Researcher at CEA-INES (France), at the service of (and aligned with) European Climate Pact focus areas. Main research/innovation topics, relevant to my activities/expertise are:

• Solar Energy applications (e.g. energy-efficient buildings, agrivoltaics)
• Circular Economy / Sustainability in the solar energy segment

As a Pact Ambassador my work will focus on the protection of our oceans with a focus of cetaceans, one of the largest most important and most endangered species of our blue earth. My goal is to improve the situation for pilot whales in Tenerife, where one of the most rich and unique places of the planet is found: The Teno Rasca strip, home to one third of the world cetaceans and of resident short finned pilot whales. Despite this status the animals face a number of issues today, threatening their existence. I want to work to save them, by educating the public about the importance of the area and ways we can protect it and by pushing along protective legislation measures that will ensure our activities do not compromise the future of the species.

As A.Morton states: "In an age in which hundreds of species may go extinct every day,  anyone who studies a wild animal faces the challenge of making a case for its life on earth. I pray that mine is strong enough ".

Climate policies should lead our political priorities. Climate Justice secures basic Human Rights and Democracy.

Climate corruption via Greenwashing should be eliminated through transparent National and European pollution control mechanisms. The climate crisis is here and is now. We are running out of time. The climate agenda will define our world for the generations to come.

I declare my devotion to the Climate Pact's aim and values and I will strongly defend them during my political career via every available tool and means. My climate engagement is to safeguard a healthy, green and bright future for all.

My mission as an Ambassador is to engage citizens and communities in action for our climate and environment. 

I have a keen interest in safeguarding clean air for all since air pollution affects dramatically climate change and remains the biggest environmental health risk in Europe.

Charalampos Harry Tsiamitas

I am a passionate advocate for the environment with a track record of making real change. Over the past three years, I have championed initiatives like ProjectECO, a contest that saw remarkable results in realising sustainable projects. At BGZeroWaste, I have facilitated numerous workshops promoting sustainability and zero-waste lifestyles. Through GreenUP, I have spearheaded initiatives, from bootcamps to accelerator programs, all aimed at nurturing green entrepreneurship among the youth.

As an Ambassador, my primary focus will be on circular economy, sustainable startups, and green education. I am committed to raising awareness, helping eco-conscious entrepreneurs, and creating a platform where innovative green ideas can flourish.

I am an Irish student at Trinity College Dublin studying Middle Eastern European Languages and Cultures. I am extremely passionate about both environmental sustainability and European cooperation. I have been a volunteer with environmental projects in the past and I am especially interested in the environmental sociology and how environment and sustainability has and will impact history, economies, societies and technology.

As an ambassador, I will be actively involved in the fight against climate change, I will approach with full responsibility the respect for our planet, I will inspire the local, national and even regional community to carry out its activity protecting the environment.

Previously, I was the head of the Department of Fisheries of the Ministry of Agriculture in Hungary, and I am currently the executive director of the Ráckeve Danube Branch Angling Association. My main goal is to provide the angling community of 31,000 people on the Ráckeve Danube branch with deeper knowledge of climate protection, ecology, and environmental awareness.

As an Ambassador of the European Climate Pact and member of Generation Climate Europe, my main motivation is to empower individuals and communities to take meaningful action against climate change -with a special focus on promoting youth engagement and climate justice. To this end, I aim at strengthening a network of like-minded individuals and organizations who are committed to reducing emissions, conserving resources, promoting sustainable practices and rethinking our current economic system.

I am an engineer, former scientist and a strategic consultant for the public sector- mainly to the EU Commission, so am well aware of the EU goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050 and the corresponding policy actions put in-place by the EC. I am passionate about continuing to learn and innovation particularly on circular economy practices as a means to tackle climate change. In light of this knowledge and by leveraging my skills (i.e. content writer, inspirational public speaker, passionate continuous learner, creative upcycling artist), I am highly committed to acting as an ambassador firstly to connect with other like-minded ambassadors for collective intelligence. And then to spread key learnings and messages across my network to create an informed society at all levels (i.e., policy makers, public and private sector, civil society organisations, think tanks, NOGs, citizens) to take the right actions collectively and urgently since there is no Planet B! 

I am a Climate Pact Ambassador from the Netherlands. Currently I am developing an interactive game designed to familiarise players with the European Green Deal and increase public awareness. Please get in touch if you have any questions or remarks!

With a background in administrative sciences and environmental policy, I bring a unique perspective to my role as an EU Ambassador. I am currently working as a CSR consultant, and my unwavering dedication lies in advancing sustainability and corporate responsibility, with a particular focus on achieving concrete change. I am driven to inspire and engage audiences, recognizing the pressing need for dialogue and innovation. My goal is to lead discussions that translate into meaningful action on climate change. Through a combination of workshops, blogs, and social media platforms, I aim to contribute to a sustainable and responsible future, in alignment with the European Commission's commitment to combating climate change.

I am a researcher in forest management and planning, and an educator and communicator on climate change causes, impacts and solutions. I believe that reaching out to journalists and teachers is the key to improving awareness of climate change impacts and uptake of both individual and collective solutions (mitigation and adaptation). This is why I commit to continue leading climate simulation games for middle and high school teachers and students, and programming educational courses for journalists with the Climate Media Center that I preside over.
