Responsibilities

As a devoted climate ambassador, I am committed to translating climate ambitions into action and policy by engaging in conversations with and giving keynotes to government agencies, politicians, major corporations, and citizens. I strive to inspire them to embrace sustainability, providing fresh insights and concrete actionable steps. Additionally, I represent the voices of young people and unite them across Europe. In my role as the head of advocacy for the Dutch Youth Climate Coalition, I established a European branch, representing Dutch youth at the European Commission and Parliament. Recognizing the need for collective action, I founded the European Youth Climate Coalition, fostering collaboration and joint advocacy at the European level. As the director at YoungRegional, I ensure that young people actively participate in shaping climate policy at both the local and regional levels. Simultaneously as a Climate Mayor, I connect local government, businesses, and residents, championing a community-driven approach to sustainability.

As director of Pistes-Solidaires, a French NGO, I am professionally and personally committed to fight the climate change and protect the environment. It has been more than 20 years since I started my education on sustainable development, then on fighting against climate change in different sectors, mostly in youth work.

My philosophy is small acts big impacts and to try to bring to our daily lives the possibilities to act concretely, to feel concern and actor of the change.

It includes extensive work on community gardens leaders training - the Gardeniser pathways, sensitisation  activities adapted to the youth work (the Otesha curriculum ) and nowadays the ACT'EVE (European Volunteers for the Environment) challenge to reach wider communities and bigger number of people, thus create a greater level of awareness and encourage people to take concrete action.

As energy consultant I have been reducing the energy demand of thousands of buildings. I did many lectures for the public and students at our University (Thermography Building Simulation etc.) But this is not enough. We have to think big. So I am working on a project to use digital tools to push the transformations needed to reach the Paris Agreement and the Agenda 2030.

I am an urban planner, activist, and researcher in Public Policies, connecting Territorial Planning, Urban Food Systems, and Local Development, researcher at the FCSH -  Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and affiliated to CICS.NOVA.

I co-founded the national network Feeding Sustainable Cities (2018), a knowledge dissemination network that brings together more than 550 members of the Portuguese food system. In 2022 a core group of the network founded ACSA–Alimentar Cidades Sustentáveis Associação, a national non-profit organisation which I am honoured to be the leader of.

As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I want to raise urban planners’ awareness of the need to integrate better food and agriculture related measures into Climate Strategies and Plans. As part of the awareness campaign, I will hold workshops in the school of architecture and planning and develop two publications to be available online both in Portuguese and English: Manual for food planners; Guidelines for Food Campaigners Champions.

I am driven by reason in this mission, as science proved decades ago that the way humans live has to change to ensure humanity will prevail, and the time is short.

I believe sustainable innovation will bring real change.

I am well aware of the central role of food systems in the climate crisis.

I intend to make knowledge more easily available to users in the food chain and approach different groups (as engineers) to discuss issues, raise awareness and help connecting networks

Climate change mitigation and adaptation, at the policy level and as regards new technologies and sustainable finance, lie at the core of the work I am engaged. I work with a variety of stakeholders forging synergies and mainstreaming the Green Deal, ESG/Sustainable Finance and the UN Agenda 2030 values. Showcasing the climate activities I organise and participate in through the European Climate Pact will create more impact and promote these concepts and values to larger audiences across geographies and different fields.

I have been a climate activist for fifteen years. I am involved in the field of information and school education on the issues of decarbonisation and ecological transition. I also take care of sharing information and promoting environmental sustainability among the politicians of the area where I live. The goal is to transform proposals for climate change mitigation and adaptation into political programs and subsequently into concrete political actions in the local area. About: https://cutt.ly/7S

I have been an environmental activist since 2019, helping associations in Italy fight against conventional waste management and in favour of the implementation of 'zero waste' practices. After completing my Environment and Business degree in the United Kingdom in 2021, I have worked on sustainability-related projects for a London-based communication agency before joining the European Commission in October 2022. Since then, I have been helping DG CLIMA communicate EU climate action to stakeholders and the wider public. During my first months in Brussels, I launched The Earth Society, a network of current and former European Commission trainees interested in sustainability and climate action. The aim of this initiative is to encourage as many young minds as possible to take action to protect our planet and make our society fairer and greener. As a Climate Pact ambassador, my aim is to expand this network as much as possible, and increase its positive impact on society.

I am sharing scientifically reliable knowledge and raising awareness on climate change through delivering the Climate Fresk workshop for different kind of audiences from all sectors. Moreover, I lead workshops on the topic of circular economy. I also collaborate with a start up which aims to enable CO2 reductions in ecommerce by introducing reusable solutions instead of single use packaging. Finally, I do a lot of interconnecting, helping people start and expand climate initiatives.

No one will be left behind! As Ambassador, I want to share my expertise in digital communication for making accessible organizations and local communities the scientifically reliable knowledge and the European activities for climate simply and concretely. I will make it through web writing, organizing events, and running campaigns in the media related to climate change. I want to become a bridge for people, organizations, and institutions, who want to co-create projects together.

I studied to become a teacher, but finally worked in the conception and promotion of board games, until it became too difficult to manage the incongruence between that activity (which was commercial) and my values, especially the growing awareness that we must keep the environment and climate life-friendly.

I currently describe myself as full-time volunteer for climate, and focus on informing people. No one can consciously make good decisions to solve a problem they don't understand correctly.

I mix my passion for participative music and social phenomenon to activate, elevate, and bring people together. Combating climate change and transforming our human activities on this planet firstly require a shift in conciousness - from apex predator to apex healer. A fundamental part of that shift relies on narratives, storytelling, but also on becomin more aware and more empwered collectively. Co-created musical fun can help with that.

As an Ambassador I will work to raise the awareness of my community and beyond on the pressing danger of air pollution caused by the emission of greenhouse gases. In order to fight for a better future we must be aware of the challenges we face. I will organise activities to educate the community and encourage them to participate in building a stronger and healthier democratic society that lives in harmony with its beautiful and rich environment.

As a founder of Foodobox, my goal is to engage as many players of the food business in Bulgaria (and other countries, too) to join our green cause against food waste.

I would like to rise the awareness on this specific problem as we live in a paradox-there is so many starving people and more than enough food to feed them all, that ends up in the garbage.

I m a researcher on information engineering, with particular focuses on sustainable networking and computing, machine learning, computational intelligence.

I believe that sustainable design principles must be included in every engineering discipline. In particular, digital systems together with computational intelligence must be designed taking into account their carbon footprint and supporting key environmental issues. Dissemination events on this matter are essential in our society.

I am a 21 year old South African from Johannesburg who is currently studying Biology in Germany. My interest in climate justice began when I was 12 years old. In 2019, I joined the Conscious Campaign— an anti-hatefulness campaign started by young South Africans. In 2019 I facilitated language classes for children in grades 5 to 8. In 2020 I started fundraising for a non-profit environmental organisation aimed at reforestation and climate education, among other things. After learning about the intersectional and even interdependent nature of environmental justice and human rights, I became interested in climate justice and intersectionality with particular interest in afro feminism. After being in contact with young people who are actively involved in policy making, I developed an interest in context specific policy making and policy commentary and have been actively engaged with it since 2022.

I am a young advocate dedicated to climate change, migration, and human rights. I am an activist of the WSCHÓD initiative in Poland, where we work to ensure climate and just energy transition is at the top of the political agenda. I am also the 2023 Rise Global Winner, laureate of the program that finds promising young people and provides them opportunities to serve others over their lifetimes.

I want to leave a mark and contribute to building a fairer, greener future for all of us. In the future, so as to be able to use my expertise for the benefit of others and scale my impact, I want to work in international human rights organisations.

As an Ambassador, I want to make the voices of young people heard and connect the climate crisis with its interconnected impact and causes. I will raise climate crisis awareness through my writing and creation of a journal for young activists to do the same. I want to show that we can all be climate heroes – all we need to do is start to act!
