As a marine ecologist, with a PhD in climate-driven impacts on coral reefs, I am dedicated to public dissemination of up-to-date information on climate science, adaptation and mitigation measures. As a researcher and climate science communicator, I firmly believe that community understanding of the overwhelming importance of the climate change issue is key to generating the public support needed for achieving the stated goals of the EU and other relevant bodies.

I am a 27 years old researcher, climate action advocate from Turkey, and I want to share my research findings on the implementation of the Paris Agreement, climate laws, policies, and public awareness in Poland and Germany. Also, I want to use my skills to raise awareness about the climate emergency and its consequences, especially among people aged between 16 and 35 years old. My aim as a Climate Pact Ambassador is to draw attention particularly on the need for a systemic change and youth engagement in climate action.

Dr. Escribà-Gelonch is a flow chemistry researcher with expertise in the development and assess of sustainable processes, with a wide postdoctoral experience around Europe. His research interest lies in Circular Economy, the redefinition of waste and reuse of materials in food systems, solving complex problems through eco-friendly solutions. In 2016, he was awarded with the winning prize in Green Pharmaceuticals Research by Mountain Mogan International Summit on Green Pharmaceuticals.

Hello, my name is Nef and I live in Blanca, a small town in Murcia, in Spain.

Why do I want to be a European ambassador for the Green Pact? Because I live in an environmentally privileged place and it is necessary to make the population aware of its care and protection.

Every small action helps in the care and protection of the environment, we can all do our bit to a greater or lesser extent.

We are the proof that companies can make business without exhausting public resources like forest, air or water...

I am working in Granada Energy Office, doing already all of these things because of my job, so I would continue developing my job, supporting Granada province municipalities to implement solutions to tackle climate change, but as well, I am open to increase this effort participating in other institutions events (as I usually do), promoting these ambassador initiative among other local stakeholders that I know that could be ambassadors as well.

I am an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Journalism and Media Studies at the University of Groningen (the Netherlands). My research and teaching interests lie at the intersection of digital communication and social change, with a particular focus on environmental issues. I am also the coordinator of the climate disinformation section at “Learntocheck”, a non-profit media education project about disinformation and digital content verification. As an ambassador of the Climate Pact, I plan to counter climate disinformation by increasing the public's social media literacy. 

There is no solutios to climate change without the EU. I see my role as ambassador as that of capturing the attention and building citizens' understanding of the EU Green Deal and its success through people's ideas and participation. But my role is also to listen to citizens and let the EU know what they think and what they want in order to achieve together the ultimate goal: "A clean, sustainable and better world for us and future generations in an EU to be proud of".

I am a journalism student and part of the group Klima ťa potrebuje. Six of us organised an online petition, “For the climate”, that has so far collected more than 126,000 signatures, forcing the Slovak parliament to discuss the climate emergency at its next session. I am so proud of being the part of this group because it is a big movement in our country.

I was the principal negotiator on behalf of my country at the climate change conferences between 1991 and 2010 and represented Hungary at the related EU-meetings. Afterwards, I attended such meetings as NGO-representative (e.g. Paris COP, 2015). Such topics were part of my publications and books. I teach environmental topics and regularly make presentations on them at various meetings. 

I am a mother, a researcher and teacher trainer in Educational linguistics. I put my professional experience in communication at disposal to persuade local public authorities and schools to commit to climate action. In particular, I am committed to influencing local decision-makers, independently or with other Italian ambassadors, inviting them to accelerate climate action. I am currently president of the EuCliPa.IT association.

Although I normally live in Halle (Germany), where I am still engaged in local climate action movements, I am currently living in Madrid, undertaking an internship in the environmental sector of the trade union UGT. In that context we are building bridges between the union and environmentalists, as to resolve the false and dangerous contradiction between labour and the environment and fight together for a real just and green transition. Therefore we will soon be publishing a report on green clauses in collective agreements. I am also supporting the movement "No a la Tala", that fights the unnecessarily planned cutting of 500-1000 trees in Madrid under the excuse of the construction of a new metro line. We argue that the metro line could easily be built without chopping down trees.

I am a Consultant and Engineer in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in agricultural, industrial, construction and tourism fields. During last ten years, I have been able to focus my proffessional activity on developing energy and sustainable projects for public administration. These important projects at the local level are evidence of the implementation of European level strategies and policies, promoting the pillars of the climate pact.

My target in next years is to continue developing projects aligned to EU policies and to reinforce the ideals for the fight against climate change through the development of projects at the local level.

I am a results-driven, diplomatic and engaged European Director, committed to facing environmental and climate change challenges with extensive management experience. I am also committed to enhancing outreach, networking and implementing partnerships in the framework of EU funded projects.

With more than 20 years of professional experience in Brussels, I am firmly committed to the EU values, notably to environmental protection as a human right, as well as to integrity, transparency and accountability.  As a member of the Council of Europe HELP network, I have been active in promoting the course on Environment and Human Rights. At the Council of European Bars & Law Societies (CCBE) I was the first promoter of the creation of its Committee of Climate Change and Environment back in 2006 and member since its foundation. I have also been a jury member of international awards such as the "Crystal Scales of Justice" on modernisation of Justice. I am also a writer and speaker at European conferences.

There is no doubt that Climate Change is THE BIG CHALLENGE we must overcome for our next generations. Tackling the social transformation needed to minimise its effects is a drive that must be addressed in our daily lives. As an ambassador, my goal is to raise awareness by sharing my knowledge. By carrying out playful educational projects in real-life scenarios. Offering different points of view to be able to face change with learning guarantees. Let's get started?

I am deeply passionate about combating climate change and promoting sustainability. With a background in renewable energy, technology innovation, and regulatory expertise, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a track record of impactful climate engagement. As a European Climate Pact Ambassador, I am committed to inspiring positive change by fostering community awareness, particularly among underserved groups, about the benefits of sustainable transportation. Through educational materials, community workshops, and active participation in climate-related events, I aim to drive local action and contribute to the broader European climate agenda. My dedication to making a tangible difference is grounded in a belief that collective action is key to addressing our planet's most pressing challenges.

As a climate and environmental communicator, I will communicate the results and findings of official agency reports, as well as the most relevant news to make it easier for people to understand. Information on the current state of the planet is a right and is essential in the climate fight.

In this sense, the creation of content in social networks is an entertaining and approachable way of communicating the greatest challenge facing humanity in this century.

I am a dreamer and I dream I can change the world... one young person at a time...

So I am planning to fulfil the Ambassador's mission by doing what I know to do best... to give knowledge on formal and non formal learning about the issue of Climate Change!

My main motivation is to make a difference because doing nothing is the worst thing ever!

I am focused on local activities with impact in the community such as cleaning nature or advocating on youth for these issues.

Highly committed person, great vocation for cooperation, strong environmentalist character. I believe that from my professional position as well as from my passion and enthusiasm I can transmit this energy of change. I have been working on environment and climate for almost 15 years and every day it is still necessary to force greater coordination in communication and social commitment. Climate is changing, why aren't we? Be the change you want to see in the world!
