Description

The Youth Climate Pact Dialogue allows young people to engage in European decision-making by giving them an opportunity to co-create and participate in discussions with high-level officials from the European Commission in the context of the European Year of Youth.

On 13 October 2022 in Brussels, Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans exchanged with young people on sustainable mobility for this new edition of the Youth Climate Pact Dialogue. A group of eight selected Climate Pact Ambassadors had the opportunity to voice their needs, ask questions and discuss policy recommendations directly with him. The event was also live streamed, allowing people across Europe to attend virtually. You can watch the Youth Dialogue here.

The young Climate Pact Ambassadors, the Youth Task Force of the European Climate Pact and the European Commission’s DG CLIMA jointly co-created the agenda for the dialogue around the following topics:

  • Urban Mobility
  • Long Distance Transportation
  • Rural and Just Mobility
