Description
While GHG emissions reduction is very important in the fight against climate change, ‘nature positivity’ and the protection of biodiversity need to carry even weight.
Without focus on biodiversity and nature, on forests and water we cannot reach our climate targets. Nature and climate are inextricably linked and nature-based solutions address both decarbonization and resilience. Therefore the understanding of biodiversity risks and their mitigation is a crucially important part of climate action.
The Leibniz Research Network Biodiversity elaborated this list of 10 Must Knows on Biodiversity to stress the importance to preserve nature.
