Satellite event: Rotary Climate Action district 2483

Why is climate action a challenge for Rotary? Because climate change is a hot topic! Climate change is present everywhere, as is Rotary. Climate change threatens the poor and most vulnerable groups, and Rotary is dedicated to them. As a result, they also have an energy crisis, weather disasters, droughts and floods, difficult supply of safe food, poverty, migrations.

Bearing in mind that the area of the Western Balkans is particularly affected by climate change, our idea is to launch a Rotary climate action as a Rotary district, which includes a set of thematic webinars, signing the Declaration, as well as documenting individual and club efforts, actions, ideas that contribute to climate action.

By participating in this kind of "hands on" action, as well as by signing the Statement, commitment to climate action at the level of the Rotary Club, on an individual level, as well as commitment to the Green Deal for the Western Balkans is confirmed. The Rotary climate action is voluntary, and entire clubs can be involved, as well as individual members, as well as friends of the Rotary movement.
