Satellite event: Greennovation in Tourism: Info Day

The info day will focus on green skills and knowledge exchange to raise the capacity and the sustainable potential of the SMEs in the tourism sector in the green transition, also on sharing knowledge about sustainable actions which can be taken to improve the activities and the performances in the tourism sector. The EU ECO-TANDEM project will be presented, created to boost sustainable tourism development and increase the capacity building of traditional tourism SMEs through transnational cooperation and knowledge/tech transfer.The fresh look will be given from the youth side (high school students) who will share their vision for a more eco-sustainale tourism sector according to the “Facilitation” methodology, thus we could come up with ideas that could contribute to the new European Bauhaus initiative.

The aim of the event is to:

• to launch and promote the programme for the tourism SMEs who are willing to do an eco-transition;
• to explain how public funding can be a key to solving green and climate challenges in the tourism value chain.

The event will facilitate the audience to share knowledge and to develop and implement solutions around sustainable tourism in the EU.
