Description
We are a Fridays for Future regional group located in Bad Tölz, a small town in Germany, Upper Bavaria. In rural areas like ours we face specific challenges mostly unknown in bigger cities: local politicians and local media tend to downplay the problem of climate change and platforms of climate awareness-building like NGOs and universities are missing.
We will talk about our work as a Fridays for Future regional group, for example how the local schools react to pupils joining our demonstrations. The second part will be about in which ways climate change is already affecting our area. Thirdly, we will address important local political topics, such as public transport. After each part there will be room for discussions.
The target audience are institutions and individuals who want to get first-hand information on limitations and challenges climate action is facing in rural areas.
To register for the event send an E-Mail to badtoelzfridaysforfuture [dot] is (badtoelz[at]fridaysforfuture[dot]is) and you will receive the dial-in data.
