denkstatt and its partners Bio-Austria as well as our ambassador for sustainable food, Margot Fischer, organise a visit to organic farmers in order to learn and teach – through recordings (video and audio) – how climate protection is acted out in a circular economy approach.
“From farm to fork” – will be the claim for our event. We will demonstrate where our food derive from, in order to show how valuable they are and raise the awareness for avoidance of food waste.
Our ambassador will visit the organic farmer and spotlight the whole growing and development process of the special product, the farmer can supply (i.e.: potatoes, tomatoes, pumpkins, …). The usage of pesticides, fertilizers, land use and animal husbandry will be observed as well as the use of resources like water and energy during the production/growing process.
The final stop is in the farm-house kitchen, where our nutritionist ambassador will cook with the product that has been accompanied from the very beginning of its life-cycle. Insights into sustainable cooking as well as hints and tips on how to deal with leftover will be passed on to the audience/reader.
